Hotel is in a lovely location, a close enough, easy drive to Stratford upon Avon and far enough out to be peaceful. We had a family room as we took our 2 granddaughters (8 & 9) - double bed and bunk bed. Adequate size room. There was enough choice for all at breakfast time and the breakfast room was a pleasant, spacious room. Parking was plentiful. Had a drink in the bar during the evening; sat in the outside part of the bar. I couldn't help thinking a pity that there wasn't an outside part of the bar around the back of the hotel as the grounds here were lovely with a few little summer houses.
A minor thing though. Thought the toilet paper was a bit cheap and rubbish.
The suite we stayed in was lovely with a large fireplace and a four poster bed which was extremely comfortable.
Great breakfast.
Nothing
Very spacious room, friendly staff and nice extras for the dog
There is no air conditioning, which is understandable as it’s an old building but it was hot in the room. A fan was provided.
Large rooms. Pleasant and welcoming staff. Seems like a very well run hotel.
Poor phone reception in the area, but the wifi was good.
The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The best part of our stay.
The breakfast buffet lacked choice. There was a notice advising to ask staff if you wanted fried or poached eggs which were then cooked fresh but on our first morning there was nobody to ask. There were only low fat fruit yogurts available and a watery plain yogurt in a serving dish.
We were in room 103 and its really noisy when people move around in other apartments and the shower made a screaming noise when put on
I loved the building, my room, the staff, the location, the food. There's honestly nothing I would change.
Nothing
The breakfast and the staff were amazing, great with our daughter, and able to help with loads of things.
Some things could use a little love, but the same could be said for our house, and this is a historic property.
Good location for Ragley Hall Game Fair
Drinks expensive. Duvets in room dumped in corner with no covers. Only a sheet on the bed which although it was hot during the day needed covers or blanket at night. Breakfast haphazard - not enough staff to keep filling up the buffet. No glasses, orange juice, cups for coffee, bread for toast. Not the staff fault - not enough of them
The location was great and the restaurant evening meal was decent with nice staff.
The bunk beds were squeaky and clanky. Every time my son moved, we all woke up due to the noise of the bunk beds. I tried to raise this with the front desk in the morning and the lady on reception could not have been less interested. The toilet flush worked about one time in six and the toilet made a whooshing sound every few minutes all through the night. We had a terrible sleep for these reasons. The bathroom was tired and in need of refurbishment. It was expensive given the condition of the place and our poor night’s sleep.
Location was good. Nice place to stop with your dog
Rooms wasn’t overly clean. A lot of drinks they didn’t have. No air con and rooms were really warm.
Nice old property, great location, clean with friendly staff
No air conditioning it was a bit warm but they did provide a fan
Breakfast satisfactory
Breakfast satisfactory but not enough variety of choice
Excellent service, we won a free breakfast. So friendly and kind
