If you're after a reasonable $ place to stay and only require sleep accommodation then this ticks the box. Staff friendly , Bed comfortable , location to transport within a short walk.
Great staff, clean rooms, excellent location!
The hotel very convenient parking only 20 dollars per night. Ting at reception was so helpful and terrific she allowed me to have a late check out at 1pmfor free. Awesome thanks heaps Ting!!
Clean and comfortable room. Ting was very helpful and welcoming. The hotel was great walking distance from Spencer st Station
Check-in staff were all friendly. Had to ask each day for an extra towel, as only provided us with two when there were 3 of us. We had a Superior King Room, advertised as sleeping 3. We thought a portable bed would be provided, but it was just the King bed to sleep us all. Lucky our grandchild is small for an 11 year old. Switches in bathroom very dangerous, coming off the wall - we never used. Getting in and out of the shower, which is over the bath, would be quite difficult if you could not lift your leg higher than your opposite knee. However, very convenient location & easy to get to from Southern Cross station. Lots of great eateries within 5 minutes too.
Location of this hotel suited my needs being close to Southern Cross Station and DFO shopping 5 minutes walk from hotel. Kind staff upgraded my room on arrival and it was comfortable & affordable for my short stay. I hav3 stayed here frequently over the years and happy to return here again in the future.
Overall for one night, it was an okay property.
There was noise from taps in the bathroom, very limited blinds with heaps of light coming in early morning, the hand basin had been filled with putty and overall poor maintained.
However, the bed was comfortable and it was value for money.
budget hotel, nothing fancy. Small rooms, rundown hotel but quiet and safe and staff are nice
Convenient to Southern Cross.
i just didnt go to the hotel at all, so i wouldn't know.
Great location for walking to trams and into the city. Not a flash hotel but the beds were comfy. Usually friendly staff and always happy to help with questions.
I had a comfortable 3-night stay at this hotel. The room was clean and quiet, and the staff were very friendly, especially Jennifer. It’s so close to Southern Cross that I could go everywhere easily. Would definitely stay here again!
Happily surprised at the cleanliness and the very comfortable bed at this budget friendly hotel. The linen was super soft. Room was small but all you need. Less than a block to the DFO end of Southern Cross Station and very close to Marvel Stadium. Perfect for an overnight stay if attending a game at Marvel. Will definitely be booking ahain.
No hot water and no urgency to fox it
At night there was a lot of noise:
The rooms nearby were having a party and there was a lot of noise
A crazy guy was screaming at 3:00am
The elevator wasn’t working good, the key card didn’t work
Would not stay here again. It’s run down and feels like everything is taped together. We didn’t have hot water for one night. The staff is very kind. But even though it’s cheap I wouldn’t go back.
Taps dripping no milk limited coffee and tea
And mould n bathroom
DescenHot water did not work.
YEHS was in a great little spot, close to Southern Cross and easy walking distance to a lot of shops/restaurants. Ting was wonderful, and helped us get settled and ensured our stay was lovely.
I was disappointed with my stay. The hotel didn't provide the advertised breakfast service, and there were no hand towels in the bathroom, forcing me to reuse my personal towel. The kitchen lacked basic amenities like a toaster, microwave, and utensils, and the only way to get hot water was from a jug filled at the bathroom sink. The broken blinds left my room dark with no natural light. The only positive was the hotel's proximity to the CBD,
