Historical hotel and budget friendly
Pros:

The best thing about this hotel is the Location.
It's just across the train station and next to the park.
A lot of eateries around this location.
The Hotel rooms are cleaned daily and the cleaning service is good.

Cons:

The rooms were not the very best. Understandable that this is a old hotel, but the air-con/heater was totally not working the way I wanted it to, but considering it was cold and the room was getting stuffy, I could crack open the windows. The morning buffet does have some margin for improvement.

Perfect hotel to visit Shanghai.
Pros:

Very nice and special hotel due to its history. Beautifully renovated and great location. I was upgraded to a better room (without requesting it). Very kind staff and excellent breakfast.

Cons:

Some hooks would be nice. The light system is too complicated, couldn't find the button to switch off the night light. Also, there are too many lights emanating from the various electric appliances.

Pros:

Отель с прекрасным расположением, в самом сердце города. Отель - музей с историей, да номера старые, но это никак его не портит, тут именно китайская классика.
Несмотря на центральное расположение, в этой точке тихо и спокойно, через дорогу метро, в 5ти минутах Нанки Роад и путь на набережную Вайтань.
Завтраки - было что есть, как китайская так и европейская кухни, много вкусной выпечки. Персонал очень клиентоориентирован, разговаривает на английском. Вечером час живой музыки, вкусные коктейли.

Großartiges historisches Art deco Hotel in zentraler Lage
Pros:

Ein Hotel, in dem auch Charlie Chaplin einst übernachtete, mit einem "Museum" zur Geschichte des Art-deco Hotels in der ersten Etage. Direkt am Peoples Square gelegen, somit zentral und direkt an einer Metro-Station. Die Zimmer komfortabel mit Hightech-Luxus-Toilette, auch hier Art-deco Einrichtung. Überall schalldämpfende Teppiche und in der Lobby gratis Getränke und 4x am Tag Live-Musik. Die Mitarbeiter freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Wenn Musiker live spielen, sollte die Musik, die über Lautsprecher abgespielt wird, pausieren. Diese wäre vor allem den Musikern gegenüber respektvoll.
