The room, the pool & beach & the relaxing vibe.
Staff were excellent
It’s a bit way out to get to any bars or restaurants on foot- St.Lawrence Gap, £10 e/w, for amenities.
Walk at your peril the roads & drivers are haphazard & it takes a good half hour if you’re relatively fit!
We had a nice clean spacious room on the 2nd floor with a very pleasant balcony overlooking the pool with views to the beach. The beach was a couple of hundred metres from our room. Note that there are no elevators in the building. The on-site restaurant had a good menu and good quality food. The beach is very lovely - about a 1.5 km walk round trip so tried to do that twice a day. Most days the surf was pleasant and moderate for an adult. A couple of days it was a little higher - not too high to swim but high enough to discourage some. Basically no rocks at all on the beach, just sand and surf.
Our fourth visit and always great.
Amazing views each room faces the ocean simple rooms but clean and well kept.
Terrific beach for long walks but be aware water in ocean is rough and in front of Sandals there is a break front to calm waves.
There are no elevators but they do have ground floor rooms.
Pool is lovely and restaurant on site is ok
Excellent week at Bourgainvillea hotel. Beach area fantastic. All staff around the hotel so friendly and helpful. Easy walk into the Gap or taxi / reggae reggae bus for trips to other beaches.
Nothing to fault about the week tbh.
Pool was very nice and the beach was beautiful. The guys on the water sports section would bring out an umbrella for you and set it up which was great. They also had good entertainment every day. Mostly music at night, but also a fire show which was fun.
Service at the restaurant was really slow. The staff was very nice, but it took forever to get a drink or food. Also, there was no where to easily get coffee in the morning. If they had a little coffee shop area, that would really be a great addition. Walking into town was complicated by the 2 giant sandals resorts next door, so the roads all looped around those, but we did find we could walk down the beach to get to the Dover market and restaurants there pretty quickly.
Breakfast was excellent.
Room was comfortable, but bed cover could have been fluffy.
Reception Desk had great personalities.
the refrigerator could have had some fruit drinks, and water.
Everything! Beautiful place to stay
Just back from a week at Bougainvillea Resort. This was our first visit to the hotel and felt right at home from checkin on. All front desk staff were pleasant and helpful...special mention to Roslyn and Temar. Room was a one bedroom suite on the ground floor, as requested. Everything was clean and the kitchen well stocked with pots/pans, coffee maker, toaster if you want to prepare meals. Housekeeping quickly handled a request for a mattress topper. The grounds are well kept, pretty gardens, plenty of shade from trees and umbrellas, and the beach was beautiful. Ample lounge chairs for guests. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed even with a few families with small children staying there. The hotel offers a weekly manager's reception and live music on several evenings. Location requires a car or taxi to Massy's in nearby Oistins if you want to buy groceries, and also to get to restaurants in St. Lawrence Gap. Both are 15 mins. drive from the hotel. One weak link is the hotel restaurant, Calabash, in terms of very slow service. However, since we mostly ate breakfast and lunch in our suite - and ate dinner in St. Lawrence Gap - this was not an issue for us. The restaurant is an improvement area for management, but overall I would happily recommend and return to this hotel.
Arriving at the hotel you’re met with such a friendly atmosphere from the concierge to the reception staff
We dumped our bags and headed straight for the pool bar where there was live music playing and great bar staff waiting to serve ice cold beer and cocktails
A special shout out to Nathan, Josh and Aaron who made our holiday fun every day
The white sands and blue water make this hotel location perfect for a relaxing holiday
The rooms were large with a separate sitting room which was a nice surprise
The walk up 8 flights of stairs was our least favourite thing
A short walk to At Lawerence Gap around 25 minutes where we had some great meals
We had a great experience and understand why there are so many people returning year after year
We arrived home this morning after our 3rd consecutive stay over the New Year period and this wonderful Hotel.
It is a hidden gem located on the most beautiful beach, simply stunning.
The fact its the same people who retrun every year says it all!
The Calabash Restaurant is incredible for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, The staff are also great, you also have Deia Beach next door - thats a real cool spot to eat and just chill out! Great Vibes!
The rooms are very clean, with plenty of room.
The place is also very quiet at Night after about 10 - 11 ish so getting a good nights sleep is never an issue!
The beach , the restaurant staff, the beach staff, very clean room
Nothing
We stayed for two nights before a cruise. I think the hotel is pretty nice. We stayed in a junior suite and the view was nice. Walking up to the 4th floor is not fun though. The room is large and very clean. The furniture dated. The bathroom seemed more modern and the shower was fantastic! I wish there had been a coffee machine. The restaurant seems just so so. Expensive breakfast. We never ate there. I highly recommend Bliss Cafe for breakfast. A decent 29 minute walk. Wonderful cafe.
