We had the most amazing holiday at the Bougainvillea, we are already looking at when we can come back! The hotel and our room were amazing, beautiful views, well maintained and very clean, perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults 2 girls age 9 and 7). The hotel is on the beach which was perfect for us, and the watersports available at the hotel made our kids very happy! The watersports team were so helpful too. All of the staff at the hotel were so lovely, we miss them already, especially Lisbeth and everyone in Calabash 🩷. We also enjoyed Deia Beach club (and had far too many cocktails there 😆) what a beautiful place. The evening entertainment was amazing too, especially Rum Fire on Friday which was spectacular. Our kids were besotted with the cat family you have there and we were so happy to see they looked so well cared for. I can’t say enough nice things about this place - we will definitely be returning ☺️
Fabulous time at this hotel, enjoyed every moment. People’s ‘You Tube’ videos don’t do it justice! Everyone was very helpful and friendly from the cleaning staff to the reception team. Jose is an asset to the hotel with his happy banter! Thank you for a great holiday, we will most definitely return 10:10 😊
The staff was amazing! Incredibly friendly, sincere and helpful. The rooms, public spaces and pool area was very well maintained, clean and embracing. The staff thoroughly cleaned the pools, decking and raked the beach area every morning so when we started our day it was like a whole new place. Getting recommendations and assistance with places to visit was wonderful.
Perfect 🏝🏖say no more😍 , close to the airport, quiet surrounding, excellent room, great value 👍
Fabulous location-right on the beach, gorgeous views from our room. Ideal hotel if you’re looking to eat out and self cater breakfast (kitchen area had everything we needed) although the food at the hotel bistro is very good. Staff are really helpful and friendly, housekeeping services excellent, clean towels every day. We would definitely return.
My daughter recommended bougainvillea resort and we decided to head there this weekend. The property is well maintained and has all the amenities of a 5 star resort. Calabash restaurant was amazing. The staff was tops and the food outstanding. Hats off to our Latin hostess. The service at the pool bar was great and we made lots of new friends. Vivian was outstanding and the team really made us feel special. We spent some time next door at Deia beach bar where the food and vibes were amazing.
Planning my next visit soon.
This was our second stay at Bougainvillea. The hotel is stunning and opens up onto a glorious beach. Our room was spacious, modern, immaculately clean with a stunning view from the balcony. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Overall this is a beautiful and relaxing hotel and we are looking forward to returning in 2027.
We first stayed at the Bougainvillea last February and loved it that much that returned this year.
Ideally located right on the beach with plenty of sunbeds and parasols.
The rooms are a good size with a small kitchen area which was adequate for our needs and equipped with everything to make your stay a pleasure. Beds are huge and comfortable and all is spotlessly clean.
The on site restaurant is very nice as is the pool bar.
What makes it such a wonderful experience is the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Every single one made us feel so welcome.
The lads on the beach were brilliant as were the restaurant staff. I had my birthday here and was such a great experience.
David and Cody maintained the pool so well and the gardeners also do a fantastic job.
We also enjoyed a lovely chat with Miranda, Margerita and Margaret who were very helpful.
The ladies who cleaned our room were lovely. Friendly, chatty yet very proficient.
We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the Bougainvillea.
The room, the pool & beach & the relaxing vibe.
Staff were excellent
It’s a bit way out to get to any bars or restaurants on foot- St.Lawrence Gap, £10 e/w, for amenities.
Walk at your peril the roads & drivers are haphazard & it takes a good half hour if you’re relatively fit!
Sehr sauber , Lage direkt am herrlichen Strand
Frühstück mit 41 $ pro Person ist viel zu teuer
Kein Aufzug
This hotel was fabulous..the food was delicious, the room was lovely ,the beach is beautiful and the staff so helpful and friendly...they looked after Toby under the Christmas tree.....if you go as a couple ,get to breakfast early to get a table on the terrase bit ....josh the bartender was very accommodating .
Will we return ...100% yes
One more thing, the reception can arrange katermeran trips ,no extra charge and pick up outside ...use Tiami tours they are the best ..we went on 4 different trips
I stayed at Bougainvillea Barbados in a two-bedroom villa with friends, and it was hands down one of the best beach vacations I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the resort felt welcoming, relaxed, and effortlessly beautiful. It strikes the perfect balance between luxury and comfort, which made it ideal for a group trip where we wanted to unwind but still feel catered to.
The two-bedroom villa was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed. We had plenty of room to spread out, plus a comfortable living area where we could hang out together. The decorations were clean, stylish, and bright, and waking up each morning to tropical views felt unreal right from the porch. Having fast, reliable Wi-Fi was also a huge plus since a few of us worked remotely during the stay.
One of our favorite parts was the beachfront location. Being able to walk straight from our room to the beach was super convenient. The beach was peaceful and never felt crowded, which was perfect, compared to some beaches you'd find in Cancun.
There was always somewhere on the resort that great to relax at whether that was the pools, or the beach or the swim-up bars. Dining at the resort was another highlight — both restaurants offered great food in really stunning settings, especially right by the ocean. The servers were incredible as well.
Overall, Bougainvillea Barbados was the perfect place for a group getaway. It felt upscale and everything from the rooms to the amenities made the trip feel effortless. If you’re looking for a luxury resort in Barbados that’s perfect for friends traveling together, I can’t recommend this place enough. I would absolutely stay here again.
We had a nice clean spacious room on the 2nd floor with a very pleasant balcony overlooking the pool with views to the beach. The beach was a couple of hundred metres from our room. Note that there are no elevators in the building. The on-site restaurant had a good menu and good quality food. The beach is very lovely - about a 1.5 km walk round trip so tried to do that twice a day. Most days the surf was pleasant and moderate for an adult. A couple of days it was a little higher - not too high to swim but high enough to discourage some. Basically no rocks at all on the beach, just sand and surf.
Our fourth visit and always great.
Amazing views each room faces the ocean simple rooms but clean and well kept.
Terrific beach for long walks but be aware water in ocean is rough and in front of Sandals there is a break front to calm waves.
There are no elevators but they do have ground floor rooms.
Pool is lovely and restaurant on site is ok
Excellent week at Bourgainvillea hotel. Beach area fantastic. All staff around the hotel so friendly and helpful. Easy walk into the Gap or taxi / reggae reggae bus for trips to other beaches.
Nothing to fault about the week tbh.
Pool was very nice and the beach was beautiful. The guys on the water sports section would bring out an umbrella for you and set it up which was great. They also had good entertainment every day. Mostly music at night, but also a fire show which was fun.
Service at the restaurant was really slow. The staff was very nice, but it took forever to get a drink or food. Also, there was no where to easily get coffee in the morning. If they had a little coffee shop area, that would really be a great addition. Walking into town was complicated by the 2 giant sandals resorts next door, so the roads all looped around those, but we did find we could walk down the beach to get to the Dover market and restaurants there pretty quickly.
