Breakfast and dinner were very good.
Aishline was a very caring and helpful staff member. I don’t know how to spell her name.
Nothing to complain about
Extremely hospitable hotel. Owners of hotel done everything to make sure everything was good
Everything
Our first ever visit to Arnolds Hotel was a treat and will definately be repeated. This family (4th generation) hotel is an example of personal attention seldom experienced except in a business where the staff are working in an environment where they are well trained, support each other, are prepared to multitask when needed, and enjoy their jobs, being led by owners who lead from the front.
Good food well presented by a chef who provides a menu that gives sufficient choice, supplemented each day , with specials for the day.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are not enormous but clean and comfortable. Excellent beds. Sea views are lovely from the front rooms but don't be disappointed if fully booked and you only have the others left. You'll sleep just as well- if you remember to turn down the radiator first!- because the views and beaches as you tour during the day are spectacular.
A wonderful family-run hotel with friendly, helpful staff and loads of charm. The restaurant is excellent. The rooms are very comfortable. I couldn’t find fault with my stay even if I’d wanted to, other than I’d like a few more vegetarian options, but what I had was very tasty indeed. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Arnold’s.
Stopped for a bowl of soup, soda bread and tea. Very pleasantly surprised. Homemade vegetable soup and homemade soda bread was lovely, washed down with a big pot of tea. Our server, Lucy, was so pleasant and helpful...a real little ray of sunshine!
Yet again another fantastic visit to Arnolds and Dunfanaghy.
Donegal Time is very important to myself and my partner and Arnolds never fails to make our stay perfect.
We go because we can completely relax, de-stress and forget about the pressures of daily life and work. Arnolds makes that happen for us.
Breakfast choices are excellent and while we didn't have dinner in Arnolds we know the menu is great too.
Our room was clean and the bed perfectly comfortable.
Make no mistake we will be back again and again.
Huge thanks to all the team at Arnolds.
Arnold’s, Dunfanaghy
We went early at 18:30 and were glad we did — it filled up quickly and had a great buzz as the evening went on.
The brisket was absolutely delicious — rich, tender and full of flavour, exactly what you hope for on a grey evening. Others loved the chowder and fish and "proper" chips.
Service was spot on. Aoife was charming, efficient and struck that perfect balance of being attentive without hovering.
The whole place has a relaxed, cosy feel, and everything ran smoothly with quick, unobtrusive service.
A really enjoyable dinner from start to finish — just done properly.
Breakfast was cold, haven’t move since covid time, had to book a time slit for breakfast. Majority of hotels do buffet breakfast where you help yourself
A really friendly hotel, staff cannot do enough for you. In the heart of the village so near lots of great pubs tho their own whiskey fly bar is really nice. Our room was bright and cheerful. Everything really clean, good breakfast.
Well priced for what you are getting.
Good location next to the bay, parking both on premises and across the street. Good breakfast.
Rooms are a bit worn, and the temperature on the cool side for our liking.
Location and staff
Stayed one night with my wife can’t fault hotel great staff food and room no complaints at all we will be back ,thankyou
Very friendly staff, the food was delicious, clean and tidy hotel, on Saturday night there was an Irish Folk band on, they were brilliant, it was great to hear local music.
Beautiful location, just beside the beach for nice stroll after fantastic breakfast. The selection was great and all freshly made. All staff very friendly and accommodating fir all your needs
Bathroom needs a light over the mirror. Also a nightlight in the bedroom would be a good addition
