Food for gluten free options could be better and food quality in general. Room ok but dated TV didn't work. Clean and staff friendly
We had a very pleasant stay at the Plaza Hotel Tallaght. The rooms were clean, modern and well equipped, with a lovely view overlooking the sensory garden. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and breakfast was particularly enjoyable. Underground parking was available, which was very convenient, and the hotel’s location is excellent, with shops within easy walking distance. The only downside was that the rooms were not as soundproof as in some other hotels we’ve stayed in. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay. Recommended.
This hotel has been refurbished and is now more contemporary, bright and airy.
The bedrooms are very comfortable. Bathroom roomy and adequate but shower poor.
Breakfast just ok.
Overall good value.
Very helpful and friendly staff, good facilities, clean and comfortable rooms, nice resturant. Location is a bit lacking, but if you have business in that area of Dublin, I'd recommend this hotel as a great stay at reasonable cost.
Good value for money.
Staff very friendly and efficient.
Rooms spacious and very well cleaned.
In order to make it practically perfect: please install a small fridge for yoghurts, soft drinks, ice cubes, etc.
My friend and I booked this hotel for our football trip with his brother and my son. Great venue and within walking distance from Tallaght stadium. Rooms were lovely, staff were friendly and bar was impressive. The only gripe was that the breakfast ran out and me and the other guests had to ask for more food to be cooked and we had to wait quite a while which is a shame as someone should have been keeping an eye out. That said definitely stay again.
Lovely hotel. Very good value. Clean, well equipped spacious rooms, including iron and ironing board, and love the complimentary water!
Really good food at dinner and breakfast. Helpful staff in bar cafe area and restaurant and reception. Provided maps of area and Dublin. Close to some shops and places to eat.
Easy access to Dublin by tram.
Only small negative noisy housekeeping staff chatting and talking loudly to each other outside door early in morning..
Lovely hotel very comfortable rooms. Nice and quiet. Staff are very friendly.
Car parking is free which is a bonus as most hotels charge to park.
We always enjoy staying here.
I love the Christmas tree 🎄
I had a one night stay here as I was attending a course in nearby TU. I wasn't that excited about it BUT the hotel completely exceeded my expectations. All staff here are warm, friendly and welcoming. I felt comfortable as soon as I arrived. I went for a look around The Square shopping centre and relaxed in the room for the evening. It was cold at first. The thermostat wasn't on. So I switched it on and it warmed up quickly. The room is very comfortable with a good size tv very clean with a good hot shower and lovely handmade soap company bits. I could not get over how quiet it was. I slept great. Breakfast was the usual fare, buffet full Irish with toast, fruits and yogurts etc. All nice. The hotel parking was great too. These types of business hotels are usually cold and unfeeling but I think the staff made it very welcoming and warm. I would recommend to anyone using TU or the hospital. Nice christmas decorations too!
We ran into many problems during our stay, from dirty bathrooms in both rooms we had booked, to having our rooms cleaned when we were out.
I have attached pictures from both bathrooms, these are completely unsuitable and to say it was the same story in both rooms it much be a bigger problem. We were lucky enough to only have been staying for one night.
The cups at the coffee station were not much cleaner filler with dirt and dust, the pictures speak for themselves.
Having paid for 2 curse dinner for each couple we were shocked to be handed the Sunday lunch menu at 7pm, which was also priced cheaper than what we had paid. The server was great to go to the kitchen and we were offered the full menu, as we had expected. i had only paid for the dinner that day when checking if it was mentioned that only the Sunday lunch menu was available we would have dined elsewhere, a complete lack of communication. We went on to order 3 steaks, the served told us the supplement would be waived for the mix up with menus, this never happened and we paid for all 3. We then asked if we could take the desserts to our room. 2 of the desserts were "hot" they were given to us freezing cold. No cream or ice-cream with nay of them as they were on the menu.
we had paid for late checkout for both rooms, so we were due to checkout at 2pm rather than 12pm. Imagine our surprise to return from shopping to find one of the rooms cleaned and our belonging including a mobile phone removed before 12pm. We had not checked out and the room was entered and cleaned, again a complete lack of communication.
The cost of the late check out was refunded for both rooms.
All lot of this was completely avoidable had there been some communication in the departments. Overall we were extremely disappointed and will not return or recommend this property. The basics need be right and it was not the case at the property.
The hotel is clean and comfortable. The food was good. However, we booked a dinner for 8 on Saturday evening and it took 55 mins for our starters, and two hours, including requests for how long, before our mains arrived. Any orders for dessert were asked for as we were eating the main course. This rather spoilt the evening. There was a function on in one of the suites that the kitchen clearly could not cope with. A shame, because the food itself was better then we expected.
The room was freezing. Thermostat not working. Rang and explained a few times. Someone came up but still didn't fix it. Was warmer in the hall
Very comfortable room. Nice bar and restaurant area. Location excelent for our visit to Tallaght hospital,a 20 min walk. Free parking is great
Our family gathered at the Plaza Hotel after my fathers funeral. The staff could not have been more attentive to our family and friends that joined us that day. The food offering was also excellent and plentiful. Thank you very much to all of the staff. I will continue to highly recommend your services.

The hotel and amenities are nice, our stay was ok, my partner felt very sick and we needed to stay another night, Martin on the reception was really understanding and helpful, but we feel a lack of care as nobody didn’t call to check on my partner. Later, Dylan from the restaurant helped a lot of the dishes and delivering it to the room.
Good location for Tallaght. Friendly helpful staff and great breakfast. Expected a power shower but got a shower mixer via bath taps. Also bottom of the bath was very discoloured and needs re-enamelling, disappointing for a newly refurbished hotel (stated in welcome letter)
I really enjoyed my stay . The room was very modern and clean , breakfast had everything we needed and good parking facility . Great location for us and the staff were amazing . The night manager from Dundalk in particular was very helpful . Would recommend.
me, my partner, and my kids stayed at this beautiful hotel. Craig the night manager was very kind and helpful during our late-night check-in. He made everything easy and even helped us find our way to the Luas the next morning. Excellent service
I visited this hotel and was disappointed, first of all, they insisted my company whose card was used to book must pay,so I told them to deduct the payment, then they said they don't have access to the details,I had to call for the payment to be made before I was given a room. Normally payment is taken afterwards because there may be other expenses.
2. They hotel has just one lift, you have to stand and wait for a while before you can get on it to your room or when coming down.
3.There were cracks in the tile and sink of the bathroom, pictures attached.
I agree with all those who are saying it should not be classified as a 4 star hotel, its not.
The hotel was booked for business but we took our young son with us as a jump off point to head into the Wicklow Mountains at the weekend. Michael, the manager, went the extra mile to make us feel at home. He made our stay very easy and enjoyable. Thank you!
