I have stayed here a few times and I have always been well looked after. Rooms are spacious with bottled water tea/coffee,and ironing board! Staff are amazing and particularly chatty.
We were at the restaurant to have dinner and Alex, the bar manger was absolutely amazing, he was very attentive with us, brought us the food and drink in time, always asking if we need anything else, so friendly. Thank you and we’ll come back soon
The Location is just perfect, walking distance to the main amenities mall and the huge nice park. Great friendly and polite staff ready to help with everything and the atmosphere is nice and calm . The rooms are very beautiful, clean and tidy.
Highly recommend
My stay was very comfortable. I found the rooms to be up to my standards, clean, spacious and functional. The hotel has a great location, it is close to Sean Walsh Park and the Square Tallaght. The restaurant within the hotel serves great food and drinks, the staff is helpful and professional.
We had a lovely stay at the Plaza Hotel Tallaght. The hotel was clean, modern, and quiet. Our room was spacious with very comfortable beds and a great view of the park. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and everything cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed two great meals in the restaurant.
The secure underground parking was a big plus, with direct access into the hotel. All the staff were warm and helpful.
Overall, a great experience — we would definitely recommend the Plaza Hotel Tallaght.
Beautiful hotel, spacious room. Wanted to avail of early check in but I was told it wouldn't be guaranteed. The receptionist was lovely but was distracted by making 2 calls on her mobile phone. I was up early for breakfast and was impressed by the selection but when I sat down with my mushrooms and scrambled eggs they were stone cold.
I stayed here Saturday night with my partner and I will never stay again, I am a local to the area and at one point I actually said I was going home as I dont live far away but we had booked the hotel to treat ourselves for Valentines Day & I had had some drinks so couldnt get in the car to go home.
Positives: Parking is free in the underground, check in was simple although receptionist not overly friendly. The food in the bar is nice is a little over priced like most places.
Negatives: The noise in the hotel was horrendous, screaming, shouting, singing on Floor 2 until 3am the " security " that is downstairs in reception came up several times to them but it continued, I have to ask myself why does a hotel need a bouncer standing in the lobby? the room itself was nicely decorated until you checked the windows where there was a bad draft coming in from a gap in the window, the bathroom was clean but very outdated and the water in the taps the flow on it was barely there and the water was just about warm, the double bed was two singles attached together so we had the adjoining bit sticking in our backs us all night. Then we found some sort of mini speaker thing under one of our pillows that when you leaned down on it a screaching sound came out which tells me that the room had not been cleaned or serviced in a long time ( room 230 ).
There also seemed to be alot of people that were non Irish hanging around if you get me so it makes me think that some of the rooms are being rented out which I find odd when the hotel markets itself as a business and conference center.
We left the next morning at 10.15am as we just wanted to get home and I have to say we will never stay here again or dine here, there was a very uneasy feeling in the place and I dont like the fact you have Jesters Casino on the side it just takes away from it.
Disappointing to see The Plaza is like this as I used to socialise there when I was younger.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Plaza Hotel Tallaght. The hotel was modern clean and quiet. We had a lovely large room with comfortable beds TV and tea and coffee, looking over the park and mountains, Breakfast was the best i have had in any hotel they had everything anyone could wish for, and cooked to perfection. we used the restaurant twice and both times the food was excellent . Underground 24hour free parking we felt very safe as it was locked and we could enter straight into the hotel. The staff were warm and friendly. Ozzy the deputy manger was exceptional he went beyond the call of duty, with a problem i had and helped me without any fuss. I would recommend staying at the Plaza
The heating in the room was extremely noise and made a loud bang when started and stopping.
They were also doing work in a room or area nearby so was woken on both the Sunday and Bank Holiday by drilling and hammering
It’s great place to stay there and parking free as well and quite location friendly staff clean rooms.it’s my second time to visit this hotel.
Food for gluten free options could be better and food quality in general. Room ok but dated TV didn't work. Clean and staff friendly
We had a very pleasant stay at the Plaza Hotel Tallaght. The rooms were clean, modern and well equipped, with a lovely view overlooking the sensory garden. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and breakfast was particularly enjoyable. Underground parking was available, which was very convenient, and the hotel’s location is excellent, with shops within easy walking distance. The only downside was that the rooms were not as soundproof as in some other hotels we’ve stayed in. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay. Recommended.
This hotel has been refurbished and is now more contemporary, bright and airy.
The bedrooms are very comfortable. Bathroom roomy and adequate but shower poor.
Breakfast just ok.
Overall good value.
Very helpful and friendly staff, good facilities, clean and comfortable rooms, nice resturant. Location is a bit lacking, but if you have business in that area of Dublin, I'd recommend this hotel as a great stay at reasonable cost.
Good value for money.
Staff very friendly and efficient.
Rooms spacious and very well cleaned.
In order to make it practically perfect: please install a small fridge for yoghurts, soft drinks, ice cubes, etc.
My friend and I booked this hotel for our football trip with his brother and my son. Great venue and within walking distance from Tallaght stadium. Rooms were lovely, staff were friendly and bar was impressive. The only gripe was that the breakfast ran out and me and the other guests had to ask for more food to be cooked and we had to wait quite a while which is a shame as someone should have been keeping an eye out. That said definitely stay again.
Lovely hotel. Very good value. Clean, well equipped spacious rooms, including iron and ironing board, and love the complimentary water!
Really good food at dinner and breakfast. Helpful staff in bar cafe area and restaurant and reception. Provided maps of area and Dublin. Close to some shops and places to eat.
Easy access to Dublin by tram.
Only small negative noisy housekeeping staff chatting and talking loudly to each other outside door early in morning..
Lovely hotel very comfortable rooms. Nice and quiet. Staff are very friendly.
Car parking is free which is a bonus as most hotels charge to park.
We always enjoy staying here.
I love the Christmas tree 🎄
I had a one night stay here as I was attending a course in nearby TU. I wasn't that excited about it BUT the hotel completely exceeded my expectations. All staff here are warm, friendly and welcoming. I felt comfortable as soon as I arrived. I went for a look around The Square shopping centre and relaxed in the room for the evening. It was cold at first. The thermostat wasn't on. So I switched it on and it warmed up quickly. The room is very comfortable with a good size tv very clean with a good hot shower and lovely handmade soap company bits. I could not get over how quiet it was. I slept great. Breakfast was the usual fare, buffet full Irish with toast, fruits and yogurts etc. All nice. The hotel parking was great too. These types of business hotels are usually cold and unfeeling but I think the staff made it very welcoming and warm. I would recommend to anyone using TU or the hospital. Nice christmas decorations too!
We ran into many problems during our stay, from dirty bathrooms in both rooms we had booked, to having our rooms cleaned when we were out.
I have attached pictures from both bathrooms, these are completely unsuitable and to say it was the same story in both rooms it much be a bigger problem. We were lucky enough to only have been staying for one night.
The cups at the coffee station were not much cleaner filler with dirt and dust, the pictures speak for themselves.
Having paid for 2 curse dinner for each couple we were shocked to be handed the Sunday lunch menu at 7pm, which was also priced cheaper than what we had paid. The server was great to go to the kitchen and we were offered the full menu, as we had expected. i had only paid for the dinner that day when checking if it was mentioned that only the Sunday lunch menu was available we would have dined elsewhere, a complete lack of communication. We went on to order 3 steaks, the served told us the supplement would be waived for the mix up with menus, this never happened and we paid for all 3. We then asked if we could take the desserts to our room. 2 of the desserts were "hot" they were given to us freezing cold. No cream or ice-cream with nay of them as they were on the menu.
we had paid for late checkout for both rooms, so we were due to checkout at 2pm rather than 12pm. Imagine our surprise to return from shopping to find one of the rooms cleaned and our belonging including a mobile phone removed before 12pm. We had not checked out and the room was entered and cleaned, again a complete lack of communication.
The cost of the late check out was refunded for both rooms.
All lot of this was completely avoidable had there been some communication in the departments. Overall we were extremely disappointed and will not return or recommend this property. The basics need be right and it was not the case at the property.
