Warm clean rooms, friendly staff, especially the reception area. Breakfast excellent.
It is a bit like a maze. Also, my evening meal in Prego was unfortunately not cooked. I had carbonara, and the pasta was only luke warm, so the egg was still raw, but the rest of the table enjoyed their meals
Staff were very helpful and pleasant
No room to change in for a wedding as we were checking in early that 3pm....I appreciate u were very busy at the weekend
Breakfast was very good value .very clean spotless bed very comfortable we loved it . Staff very friendly 10/10 Thankyou
Brighten rooms up slightly very dark . remove the 2 big luggage stands from bottom of bed restrict movement in room .Main issue room was very hot over night .Pool area nice but in need of makeover .Lovely hotel .
Decor lovely and modern although the living area was very dark. Lighting was limited.
The property had a hot tub on the outside terrace this was new and not up and running. But this will be fab once ready.
Clean , comfort , facilities
The staff were friendly and the location and facilities good.
During my three-night stay, I dined at both on-site restaurants. Unfortunately, the food was merely average and lacked anything particularly memorable. More concerning was the issue with the pepper mills: both restaurants, located on different floors, appeared to share a pair of pepper mills, none of which functioned correctly. Staff were unaware they were both faulty, which was frustrating.
My recently renovated room also had several problems. The basin tap wasn’t properly secured to the vanity unit and moved loosely. Hot water was inconsistent in the evenings, and the wallpaper above the bed was peeling, which detracted from the overall presentation.
The most serious issue, however, was at the swimming pool Jacuzzi. The chlorine levels were excessively high - so much so that my eyes were watering from the fumes. As a water treatment consultant, I can say with confidence that this indicates improper balance and is a potential health concern.
The room was a good size, very comfortable bed and excellent shower.
Breakfast buffet was spot on. You also have the option to order bits like eggs benedict etc. But overall, lovely stay, clean spacious rooms and good food.
Spa is currently being updated but this really isn't a negative, more of a positive that it's receiving some TLC
Location,grounds,bar and rooms
Leisure facilities are poor and food in Prego could be generally better although breakfast was good.
We really enjoyed our stay in The DEN back in November 2025 and said we would do 2nts next time to make the most of the facilities, so decided on 2 nights for my birthday in march this year and had a nice stay.
Just a few minor niggles that could have made it 10/10, only 1 bottle of water for 3 people staying, no teabags (although reception did bring some up swiftly), not the greatest of coffee pods to choose from, the Internet signal was so weak in the rooms that we were struggling to watch the tv in the main room, the TV in the bathroom (my treat) didn't work due to weak signal and the xbox controllers were flat so my son couldn't play on it until we had new batteries, which were found by reception team again (thank u guys).
Great
Excellant Hotel ,friendly all staff,
Scenery amazing
We been in January and March and we'll be visiting again

Shower did splash quite far onto the tiles outside of the shower tray, not a massive issue but no other suitable location to apply makeup so was getting wet standing at the mirror
Main meal was very nice, good brekast
wider range of starters
Lovely cottage, stayed in Angler. Lovely and clean and plenty of amenities inside cottage. Lovely surrounding area. Food at Antler restaurant was really nice.
Could maybe do with more parking on a weekend?
