I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was for the money. The room was a good size, lovely and clean. Bed was comfy and very hot shower. We stayed for 2 nights. Really central for all facilities in town.
Would definitely come again.
We decided at the last minute to have breakfast, £12 extra. We went in at 8.45, l was told after paying that we had to be out by 9am. The food had presumably been there, under lights from 7am, and wasn't nice. We didn't have time to get a drink or toast. It was our fault we didn't book till late, but think we should have been told in advance we needed to be out at 9. We didn't have breakfast there again.
Room was big and clean.. Staff and security were friendly
I booked 2 rooms for 4 of us . 2 had to return home for not owning any photographic id and they wouldn't accept a letter or bank cards as proof of id but booking.com wanted to charge me full price for cancellation of the 2nd room that the guests couldn't stay in . Jonas on reception was very helpful and has promised me a refund so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.otherwise lost 55 .00 plus 30.00 on train tickets
the best thing about this whole hotel is heather the house keeping manager! she was absolutely amazing and made me feel heard after a very hard stay, heather should be hotel manager she's souch better then the one you have xx
everything else! my whole stay went from bad to worse, the hotel manager takes no responsibility and when I voiced my opinion and told him my room smelt he said and I quote 'its not my fault people smoke weed in their rooms' I said 'wee' my room smelt of wee!! however this is a manager taking no accountability for what's happening in his hotel to think smoking (whatever) wasn't an issue! I met with this 'manager' twice to be told I needed to put my concerns in to writing no compassion, no concerns and no regards while I waited for him to get his pint from the bar and laughing with the staff before addressing my problem and starting with his excuses... the smell in the room was just the start, the breakfast was laughable (extra charge) the coffee machine in the breakfast room only had black coffee which only filled half the cup when I asked the staff member in the room he said while it's black coffee all the same isn't it!!! with a very bad attitude!! I had cleaners walking in to my room twice, visiting Coventry to visit family in need of my support it was the worst stay ever... still waiting on an email back from head office no wonder it has less then a rating of 3 GO ELSE WHERE XX
Don’t stay here. Dreadful staff, filthy room. Didnt stay due to the filth - plus only side lamp worked so very little light. Left and went to a different hotel. Have never had to actually leave a hotel before but this one was too bad plus such poor staff.
Everything could have been better.
Great location right in the centre of Coventry - staff were good to check me in
Shower didn’t work
Everything
Nothing
Dive
Available on the day fortunately
Reception couldn't take my booking themselves without going through a third party - needing possession of smartphone and expertise thereon.
Central location
Dated and in need of upgrading. Single glazing was draughty and let all street noise which continued into the early hours. There were stains on the back of the toilet door which I didn’t dare look at in any detail. Toilet blocked after flushing. Staff were rude and couldn’t even make eye contact while behind old covid screening which led to every question they asked requiring me asking to repeat. Check in was abysmal as they were checking in a large group and we were asked to wait while the large group queue continued to check in and to grow in size. All in all worst experience in a long long time.
Always a comfortable stay, spacious room, room clean, bed comfy.
