I had a good stay
Pros:

Very modern (newly renovated), nice and comfy bed. Overall clean and tidy, not asking for anything more for one night stay

Cons:

If the rooms had a microwave it would be even better

Looking for a perfect stop over space? Drop into the Coniston hotel, close to the coast line, close to public transport
Pros:

Close to where I needed to be- close to the railway station for people who rely on public transport. Rooms were quiet, could not hear outside traffic, or the patrons in the pub downstairs

Cons:

The rooms were clean and perfect for that 1 night stay, quite tight in the configuration and really missed having a chair in the room.

Pros:

Room was very spacious, bed was great. Bathroom very nice. Access to the first floor via lift was a nice surprise

Cons:

It was very expensive for a hotel room with no extra facilities such as a microwave or toaster. This would have been great.

Pros:

Das Coniston ist grundsätzlich ein sehr vernünftiges Hotel, wir haben es für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise gebucht. Die Zimmer sind groß und sauber. Kaffee und Tee stehen ausreichend zur Verfügung, ein Kühlschrank ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Das Personal ist freundlich, Parkplätze stehen kostenlos direkt am Hotel zur Verfügung. Leider bietet das Coniston kein Frühstück, aber gegenüber steht eine Bäckerei zur Verfügung . Das angegliederte Restaurant bzw. Bar sind sehr angenehm und auch qualitativ sehr gut. Die Lage nicht ganz so berauschend aber für unsere Zwecke war es ideal.

The colour
Pros:

The buffet food was excellent.
Refreshing to have a elevator, particularly when my traveling companion had injured knee & hip joints.

Cons:

Everything was as good & better than expected, considering the hotel is in the middle of a major renovation, we look forward to staying at the Coniston again to experience the finished renovations.
