Fantastically expensive for what it is . Appreciate that is the general level in Interlaken but even then it seens overpriced. For £400+ a night, it didn’t even include a breakfast.

My stay at Hotel Metropole in Interlaken was a mixed experience. On a positive note, I want to praise the majority of the hotel staff who were exceptionally respectful, professional, and welcoming.

Cons:

Unfortunately, my experience was severely tainted by a receptionist named Marya K (or Mary Kertin). Her attitude was incredibly unprofessional and rude. I politely asked for a late check-out at 12:00 PM. Instead of declining politely, she responded with a hostile tone, stating that I had exactly until 11:30 AM "to the minute," and threatened to charge me 50% of the nightly rate if I didn't leave by then. I maintained my respect throughout the interaction, but her aggressive approach and lack of basic hospitality skills are completely unacceptable.
