Disappointed! I expected a lot more than the service I received, more 2 star than 4 star.
Pros:

The location is superb, well situated for the many shops, restaurants in the area and easy access to the Metro and local buses.

Cons:

I don't think I was given the room that I booked when I turned up by myself as my partner could not make the trip. The photo here is the room next door which was on my original booking.The bathroom wall had mould embedded into the grout, the toilet lid was worn and the carpet could be cleaner. Yes it's an old property and I was wanted to experience a unique authentic French hotel but I also wanted it to be clean too! Even the electric sockets on my second night failed, so no TV (not too fussed about) but no charging of my phone nor could I play any music. I've never had this in a hotel before. There is only one member of staff manning the desk at night and whilst she was lovely and really tried her best to rectify the issue she couldn't, there really should have been a maintenance man on site to assist with any running problems that may occur. They gave me a free breakfast to compensate for this but I would have preferred the electricity in all honesty. It's such a shame as my days out in Paris were superb just wanted to say the same about this hotel.

Pleasant hotel with good breakfast
Pros:

The breakfast was great - lots of lovely French products served in a pleasant dining room area.
The AC unit in the bedroom was very welcome in a hot summer
