Highly recommend the rooms overlooking cave pool!!!!
Pros:

We stay here monthly.. The room (located upstairs overlooking the pool with the cave) was large, fresh and clean. This was a step up from other rooms we stay in.

Cons:

On this occasion - nothing. Very happy with this stay.

Pictures/descriptions are not accurate of the property.
Pros:

The pool areas were well kept and pretty.

Cons:

The photos are old, inaccurate and do not truly depict this worn down property. This facility is apparently geared for youth groups and should be mentioned in the property listing. There were tons of unsupervised, rowdy children. Kids were kicking a soccer ball near main entrance and shattered a light fixture, glass everywhere.
The Italian restaurant was never open. There was no pool bar, it was boarded up.

Great value for money with a beautiful pool & outdoor eating area.
Pros:

Lovely spacious & clean rooms, with 2 comfortable double beds. Pool area & under cover eating area has a lot of character & reasonably priced food & drinks. Staff were friendly & helpful. Good value for money.

Cons:

Some local bus timetables would be handy, as you need transport to get to CBD area of Cairns.
