Great find in the city. We were in town for a show and to check out museums, and the location - half a block from Grand Central - is perfect for getting around on the subway and getting to the sites of midtown Manhattan, and especially convenient if you are coming in by train to Grand Central. The room was clean, comfortable, and a good size, with a nice bathroom (and tub), and the area was also fairly quiet despite being close to Grand Central. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lots of restaurants nearby, and an Irish pub is connected to the hotel. Easy 15-minute walk to the theatre district. We liked it a lot and will stay here again in the future!
The only complaint we had was that the food service at the Irish pub connected to the hotel was very slow and inattentive. The food was good, but I don't know that I'd go there for breakfast if you have things you want to do in a reasonable time frame.
Location is great
Dirty room
No towels
Horrible mattress - sunk in the middle
Tub didn’t drain
Overcharged for parking $82 vs $ 55 vs just going to that same exact parking garage without the hotel affiliation
We stayed in Fitzpatricks in March 26. A very nice and clean hotel.Beds were so comfy and very clean. The staff couldn’t do enough for us like directions etc.Felt so homely. Thank you. We had a fabulous time and can’t wait to get back.
Paddy and Robyn.
The hotel is very charming and full of character. The pub which is attached had good food and Irish Music on the Saturday night we arrived.
The rug in our room had seen better days and the temperature of the room wasn’t easy to control. It stayed warm even though we turned the temp down.
The staff was amazing, hotel was clean, great location.
Everything was good.
Ubicación perfecta y cerca del metro. Camas comoísimas y todo muy limpio. La chica de recepción muy amable. Totalmente recomendable.
Nada
I’m afraid the bed was terribly uncomfortable and the hot water was intermittent.
I like this hotel. I wasn’t sure what to expect having never stayed here before. The location is perfect. So close to Grand Central. The staff is lovely, attentive and happy to accommodate special requests such as a tea kettle. The lobby is very nice and adjacent Wheeltapper Pub is great. Had an excellent chicken pot pie for dinner one night. Really enjoyable pub. My room was small, no view but immaculately clean and very quiet. I slept like a rock in the comfortable bed and the shower was good too. This is not a “modern” type of hotel. The building is old and the furnishings are colonial type. I will stay here again because all of the pluses outweigh any negatives for me.
I felt welcome and comfortable and very safe. It was lovely.
Spent a few nights here. Loved the location of this hotel just about across the road from Grand Central Station. Lots to see and do nearby and only a 10 min walk to Time Square. Staff friendly, rook was comfy and renovated bathroom. The weather was freezing when we were in NY and disappointing that there was no way of us controlling the temp in our room to make it a little warmer.
Staff so friendly helpful and professional great happy atmosphere in the hotel and bar
Maybe the bar could get an upgrade tables and chairs in the restaurant very old
Everything, every team member I met was hopeful, friendly and welcoming
I had to leave and come home
The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
The carpeting was a bit worn, but the room was clean. The bathroom was very clean. The bath/shower did not drain properly at first but the hotel fixed it during my stay.
I love how close it is to Grand Central Station
My rug was wet, the thermostat was not working, so the room was cold, and the front desk staff was rude. The front desk said they would send housekeeping up and no one ever came. I saw housekeeping sitting in the store room on the floor playing games on her phone. I have stayed here several times in the past and have never encountered such a bad stay. I will not be back.
