Very disappointing stay

I love how close it is to Grand Central Station

Cons:

My rug was wet, the thermostat was not working, so the room was cold, and the front desk staff was rude. The front desk said they would send housekeeping up and no one ever came. I saw housekeeping sitting in the store room on the floor playing games on her phone. I have stayed here several times in the past and have never encountered such a bad stay. I will not be back.

I would absolutely stay here again.
Pros:

The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The carpeting was a bit worn, but the room was clean. The bathroom was very clean. The bath/shower did not drain properly at first but the hotel fixed it during my stay.

Great location and wonderful Staff

Sin wifi y no hicieron nada por solucionarlo

El wifi no funcionaba. Lo peor no es haber estado 3 días sin wifi (tampoco estaba tanto tiempo en el hotel) sino que las dos veces que lo dije en recepción trataron de convencerme de que el problema estaba en mis dispositivos y que su red estaba bien. No movieron un dedo por solucionar el problema

An Irish Welcome in NYC
Pros:

We had the great pleasure of staying at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central before Christmas 2025 and it was a really great and positive experience. The Hotel is in a great location and the rooms while faded still have real old world charm. The rooms are not huge but the location more than makes up for the lack of space. We had booked the Deluxe Double Double for our stay for a party of three. The staff at Reception were very welcoming and attentive. A particular mention to Brendan Foley, Director of the Front Office, who exudes hospitality and a real Irish Welcome in the heart of NYC. We experienced a problem on our first night as the heating was not working in our room and as soon as we contacted Reception an Engineer arrived but could not fix the heater that evening. We were moved the following morning and the rest of our stay was truly memorable.

Friendly, hotel with spacious rooms in the heart of Manhattan.
Pros:

Welcomed by very friendly front desk (Sophie) , who helped us navigate our itinerary. Good sized rooms in great location-. We enjoyed the Irish breakfast . Great place to stay in the heart of Manhattan. Will definitely stay again.

Fitzpatrick Grand Central - Top notch!!
Pros:

We stayed at Fitzpatrick Grand Central on last night of our NYC 5 day trip and it did not disappoint. Our only regret is that we were not here for the 5 days!! The staff were friendly and could not do enough esp. Brendan and Natasha. I cannot recommend strongly enough. Great hotel, great location. We will be back and stay longer next time.

Pros:

The bed was very comfy and the staff at reception were lovely

Cons:

The only thing we would have changed is the noise of the radiator in the room. It was very loud. There was also construction going on outside our room which was very noisy throughout the night however we understand that the hotel can not control this
