great hotel - i stay there every time im in NYC. Great staff and location and was upgraded .
highly recommended
Excellent location made it easy to get to any part of the city; beautiful older building. Exceeded expectations
a great hotel at a perfect location.
the staff is freindly and I always go back to it.
highly recommend.
clean, bar man was friendly, staff professional
Staff not particularly friendly, no water or anything in my room suite, asked at front desk and informed to go to bar and buy water, shower pressure was weak, for the price I expected some effort. Breakfast was ok. The hotel pictures do not reflect the place accurately, overall, I was disappointed and would not stay there again.
Let me start by saying the staff were super friendly and helpful and some of the staff were Irish which gave an authentic experience.
We paid quite a bit for 3 nights in a basic room. We have stayed previously in much nicer hotels in New York. Rooms are on the larger side for New York however extremely dated. The Fitzpatrick hotel group took over the building in the late 90’s and I don’t think rooms or internal areas have been updated since. Our door didn’t feel very secure and didn’t appear to fit well. We had someone try to enter our room in the middle of the night but we had the chain across. Our friend next door reported the same thing happened to her door the same night.
The air con was very old and noisy but effective. The bed and mattress are old and not comfortable for 2 sharing. Room includes coffee and creamer and a safe. The window overlooked the front of the hotel. Window was dirty and curtains very dated. Expect to hear cars beeping, truck deliveries etc. windows are not double or triple glazed and you will hear noise. We were originally going to have rooms on the second floor but preferred to wait an hour for rooms higher up,in the hope of reducing traffic noise.
Bathrooms have been updated. The shower is over the bath, hairdryer is provided, with shampoo, conditioner and body wash but no body cream or hand cream.
The hotel is in a noisy busy area and while close to Grand Central station is quite a trek away from Times Square. There are cafes and shops close by.
In my opinion there are nicer hotels in a better location and we would not return to the Fitzpatrick Grand Central.
Needs was cloths
Had the most fantastic stay at Fitzpatrick, everything was perfect. We would recommend to everyone
Location and the size of the hotel
Rooms were very dark
Great location, very friendly staff.
No fridge in rooms, no complimentary water ….
Had an amazing stay at this hotel. The food and drinks are outstanding and the staff amongst the most friendly and efficient you will meet. A huge thank you to Garfield who is simply the best-of-the-best. I look forward to my return next year 😔
ロケーション最高。
建物、室内も思いの外きれいで、スタッフの対応もよかった。
ホテル内のレストランでのアイリッシュブレックファースト、パブにも満足した。
やはりトイレはシャワートイレであってほしかった。
Arrive late at night, got assigned a room and was very disappointed, we had arrived from Las Vegas and before that San Francisco and both hotels and rooms were great. Wife went down and asked to be moved, Hotel was full so no joy, sort of excepted that is what it is, went out the next day and when we came back in early evening, I asked again, the Irish gentleman ( sorry did not get his name ) on reception changed our room and what a difference, happy wife again 👍. Used the bar was full up but luckily got a table outside when the Knicks game was on, great atmosphere, had food one night when a storm hit and the food was surprisingly good, not what I was expecting for a pub. Overall 7/10 dropped scores as bed was soft, like really soft, ac was very noisy. But thank you to the gentleman who changed our room, you made our day.
This was my first time staying at this hotel and it won’t be my last!
I travel with my sister and the room was so clean and the staff were so friendly.
We ate breakfast in the restaurant and were amazed at the beautiful patio space they had! The Fitzpatrick Grand Central felt like home!
Location and staff.
The room's window faces a brick wall light shaft with stairwell windows whose lights stayed on all night. The blackout inner curtains were partially broken letting in light from the stairwells outside forcing me to improvise my boot holding it closed. The AC unit ceased working from 2 am until 7 am while the bathroom heat appeared to turn on leaving the sink countertop at 81 degrees when I left in the morning. Long hot largely sleepless night.
Das Personal war super nett und hilfsbereit. Und die Lage war top. Man konnte sehr viele Sachen zu Fuß machen.
Das Hotel ist nicht gerade günstig, aber ich denke für New York normal.
Just on the way home after 4 nights here . This may have once been a nice hotel in the 90’s, but unfortunately no investment has been put into it in a long time and it shows.
Everything is dated and not in an old worldly way but in a neglect way.
On arrival there was not even bottled water in our room, and left only once during our stay of 4 nights.
Beds are comfortable and we did sleep ok but I felt the rooms are grubby, carpets, curtains, with the loudest oldest air con units I’ve ever experienced. They activate every 10/15 mins and are loud enough to wake you up each time. Towek ring even came off the wall when we were there.
Had room service one night and food was good.
I would not stay at this hotel again.
