Pros:

The room was spotless and roomy. Hotel is in the centre of town, close to shops and the theatre where we needed to be.Sandwiches were available late at night which were welcome. The breakfast was good with enough variety.

Cons:

The staff were quite indifferent and uninterested in a comment I made about being let down for afternoon tea.
The shower wasn't working but a bath was available.

Not quite executive standard
Pros:

Comfortable bed, spacious room. Lovely bar area. Centrally located. Free parking.

Cons:

Car park is tricky to find and was not well tarmacked. No plug sockets by the bedside, which was awkward for us as my partner uses an apnea machine. Expected there to be USB charging points given it was an executive room. The flush on the toilet was very weak and it took several flushes to clear.

Overnight stay
Pros:

We stayed just the one night after going to The New theatre, which was a 3 minute walk from the hotel, so ideal for that.
Plenty of places to eat nearby.

Cons:

We would have eaten in the hotel restaurant, but evening meals didn't start until 6pm .
There was plenty to eat at breakfast, but not the best cooked breakfast we'd had at an hotel.
