The location was excellent
This is a top notch hotel. Every staff member we came in contact with was very polite & professional. We chose to stay in a historical room and loved every minute of it. In our opinion, The Harborview Inn is superior to other hotels in Charleston for a few reasons: pleasant & accommodating staff, very clean facility, super comfortable bed, large room and bathroom, tasty breakfast offering which we chose to have delivered to our room each morning, fantastic central location to the market, king street and the waterfront park, Excellent valet service gentlemen!, all day coffee/tea/lemonade/water bar that was so convenient when popping in between our walks about town. We will definitely return!
I loved my experience staying here. Location was perfect the views were beautiful the staff was amazing and the room was top notch.
Great location and we had 2 huge rooms! Love the extra amenities too!
The breakfast set up was a little tedious. Wish there was more like a breakfast room. Felt awkward to be having breakfast right outside people’s rooms and the tables were limited as it was too hot to go up and eat on roof top.
AC in our rooms felt very muggy and our clothes were slightly damp all week.
If you're thinking of staying downtown Charleston, I would be surprised that you could find a better place. As all the hotels are pricey in the historic district, we found the HarbourView Inn worth every dollar. The service staff were very friendly, helpful, and absolutely superior at their jobs. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best. One of the front desk people even ran down some batteries and delivered them to me at breakfast after I inquired if they had any for my mouse. Their rooftop area was such a great place to eat breakfast and enjoy a glass of wine at dusk while gazing out into the water of Charleston harbor. Location was perfect and accommodations very comfortable. I also never experience such an efficient valet service. We drove a couple days and never had to wait more than a few minutes to receive our car, again excellent service. So, their service and accommodations along with the beauty and FOOD of Charleston made it a perfect stay!
Superb location!! Very cordial and helpful staff, willing to give suggestions
The wine and cheese offerings in the afternoon and the cookies in the evening were nice touches.
We enjoyed having breakfast in the outdoor sitting.
Would like more selections for breakfast.
This is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in! The rooms are huge and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and ready to assist you with your plans. The location is excellent; right by the free shuttle stop and the Waterfront Park. Breakfast is delivered to your room or the rooftop. There is a wonderful social hour at 5:00 with wine and many delicious charcuterie treats. Later, there are four or five kinds of warms cookies and milk for bedtime!
Location was perfect for a first time visit! Close walk to fab dining and cocktails. Right across the street from Waterfront park.No onsite bar/dining but at the hotel itself they offered great options for breakfast; wine & charcuterie @ 5! Iced tea, lemonade and infused water available all day as well as bottled water. Even a M&M and Skittles bar. Staff were wonderful and always friendly. Highly recommend tho you may pay a bit more, it’s worth it for location and the property itself💜
Nothing that comes to mind
Unfortunate that a new hotel went up right across the street blocking former waterfront views
La amplitud de la habitación y la vista al Parque
Todo me gustó
Its location to every place you wanted to go
The cleaning lady never cleaned the floor in bathroom, never cleaned the tub (I put something on the edge of tub) she never saw it and it was there when we got back later that day. Never changed our bed sheets and never vacuumed the room.
The hotel is in a great, convenient location to restaurants in downtown Charleston. The room was very comfortable. Fun happy hour with drinks and snacks. Breakfast in the room was a nice, convenient benefit. Parking was smooth.
We stayed three nights at the HarbourView Inn and found it to be a wonderful experience. The entire staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant. The room was spacious and comfortable and the location near numerous restaurants and attractions was excellent. Our room was on the fourth floor and there is a terrific rooftop terrace where you can bring wine and goodies from the daily wine and cheese hour each evening. There is a continental breakfast included each day and you can choose to have it brought to the rooftop, the atrium or your room. If you do choose the rooftop be aware that the birds that hang out near there will hover around and will attempt to join you. The atrium has coffee and fruit available a good part of the day and in the afternoon there is tea and lemonade available as well. Each night at 9 there are cookies and milk available in the lobby. I loved most of the features of our room save one...the Wi-Fi was extremely slow. I thought this might be due to my devices but connections at other accommodations on our trip convinced me otherwise. I suspect that this may have been something unique to the room as sometimes the routers do not always reach the rooms evenly.
Excellent location, extras on offer such as free breakfast, wine and nibbles happy hour, free bottle water
Would have been nice to have a proper bar! You can order drinks to your room or communal areas but a bar would have been better and a restaurant if you didn’t want to eat out.
Great location, clean and comfortable lodgings, friendly and helpful staff. Also, the rooftop has a beautiful view. We’ll definitely be back.
Very comfortable bed. Great location. We enjoyed the cookies and milk each evening.
Didn’t put slippers in our room. Quality of breakfast could be better.
The staff was super friendly and helpful in the location was perfect
The building is old. The front entryway had to be kind of guarded by security… Which would really just the valets. There is no open lobby inviting you in. Up a flight of stairs is where the main desk and very small lobby sitting area were. Not perfect if you would like some space from the other guests. It was also challenging to initially check in because those front doors are locked unless you have a room key which of course if you haven’t checked in yet, you will not have yet.
We had a wonderful experience in this quiet boutique hotel. The staff and customer service are top notch, from the valets to the front desk to the room service. Nightly happy hours are fun with a selection of wine and a whiskey punch, and nice charcuterie spread. You can get your wine and cheese and enjoy it in the lobby, on the terrace or in your room. There is no restaurant on site, but breakfast is included which you order the night before, specifying the time you would like it delivered and the place...your room, the lobby, or the terrace. The location is great, within walking distance of many restaurants and the City Market.
