Great location. Really nice staff. It’s the actual facility that needs severe upgrade. Kind of felt like we were staying
Pros:

The staff was super friendly and helpful in the location was perfect

Cons:

The building is old. The front entryway had to be kind of guarded by security… Which would really just the valets. There is no open lobby inviting you in. Up a flight of stairs is where the main desk and very small lobby sitting area were. Not perfect if you would like some space from the other guests. It was also challenging to initially check in because those front doors are locked unless you have a room key which of course if you haven’t checked in yet, you will not have yet.

Pros:

Very comfortable bed. Great location. We enjoyed the cookies and milk each evening.

Cons:

Didn’t put slippers in our room. Quality of breakfast could be better.

Wonderful
Pros:

Breakfast was wonderful I also like that their was 3 location you could have Breakfast. The location of the prwas perfect right next to ocean. Also great area for walking for shopping and restaurants. We loved our stsy!!

Great Experience
Pros:

Highly recommend the HarbourView Inn. We were there for four nights in April and were impressed with the accommodations and customer service. Our room was lean and very spacious with nice decor. We had two queen beds which were extremely comfortable. We like a firmer mattress and have found that nearly every hotel we stay in has very soft mattresses. Our back are usually killing us after a couple of nights. The mattresses at the HVI were firm but not hard. We were so happy! The room service breakfasts were brought on time and were delicious. We needed a driver for the day to take us to a couple of plantations. Kierra at the front desk did a great job of finding us a lovely man to be our driver. Everyone we spoke with at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Also, love the candy bar set up in the lounge and the freshly-baked cookies at the front desk. Highly recommend!!

Happy in Charleston
Pros:

We had the best experience last week at the Harbourview Inn. All because of Jodi, from the phone call to book the room to the wonderful service we received when we arrived. She is so kind and welcoming you feel right at home. The hotel is beautiful! Our room was spacious, clean and beautiful!! The hotel is in a great location for walking all over town. They have valet parking and Colin was the best!! So kind and helpful, he is an asset to the hotel. Can’t wait to return.

Fantastic trip
Pros:

The staff at HarbourView Inn was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and seemed to care about their job. The hotel is extremely clean. Breakfast was yummy and we loved the options. We felt safe walking to the delicious restaurants nearby. Next time we are in Charleston, we will stay at HarbourView.

Charleston at its best!!
Pros:

Loved every minute of our stay at the HarbourView Inn. The location is perfect and walkable to shopping, dining and the beautiful neighborhoods South of Broad. Our room in the Historic Wing was lovely. The complimentary breakfast, wine & cheese and bedtime cookies were a treat. The rooftop terrace is a relaxing spot with stunning views. And the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special- especially Kierra. We will be back!

Great location. Walking distance to all sights and restaurants. Rooms were well equipped and clean. Breakfast in your room or on the terrace option was great. Complimentary wine and cheese/antipasto of an afternoon was welcomed.

Nice hotel, a little pricey for the area given no pool, or other luxury options like a spa.
Pros:

Great location and like the breakfast options.

Cons:

Carpet was not very clean. Valet parking is $45 a day and no self parking options on the property.

Great location close to everything
Pros:

Wanted to be close to the water and old town Charleston this location is perfect for that. The hotel is quiet, close to everything including the central market. It’s surrounded by great restaurants. The staff is above and beyond any staff I have seen at other places that we have frequented . They’re always there to help. They also have free water available in the lobby, which is awesome.

Home away from Home
Pros:

We have vacationed at Charleston over seven times and have stayed at the Harbour View Inn each time. It is perfectly located center Downtown Charleston at a perfect spot. You can walk to many restaurants and sight. Its not a "stuffy" standoff-ish place but family oriented The staff is always cheery, polite and accommodating. We took our grandson who likes American history and who likes chess, they had a chess board in the Atrium and Don, one of the staff, played chess with him. We will always stay here when we go to Charleston

Top notch!
Pros:

If I could give this Inn 20 stars I would! Excellent service, beautiful accommodations, great location for a first time visit to Charleston.
If they had a balcony off my room it would have been perfect but I can’t say enough nice things about this place. The bed was soooo comfy and the pillows were the best. Room service for breakfast was delivered on time requested and so elegantly. At 5:00 each evening there is wine and cheese and a spread of apps in the lobby to enjoy! Also an M and M bar for a sweet craving anytime!! We
stayed in the historic wing- beautiful, spacious room. Would go back in a heartbeat!
