And l can only be described this hotel as dirty and grubby especially the bedrooms with broken beds , the smell of damp and mould round the windows . Toilets not cleaned absolutely disgusting . This hotel should be closed down .
Spent this weekend (14-17 November 2025) at the Savoy for a Venture away rock n roll weekender. It would be 5 star but needs a little upgrading in places but don't let this put you off, our room was on the small side, but a very comfy mattress, plenty of hot water, tv, hairdryer and lots of tea and coffee. The Britannia staff couldn't do enough for us and we're always cheerful even tho they work hard morning to night.
The catering staff can't for faulted the evening meals were home cooked food nothing fancy but very good choices and plenty of it. Breakfast, well what can I say, Iv just had mine and even tho I'm full up just wondering if I can find a space for another sausage. The breakfasts were excellent.
We will be seeing you all again
Dirty dust everywhere no heating foul smelling bedding and towels. Never to return!
Even the remote was dusty, the light bulb was thick with dust could have set on fire!!
The hotel is falling apart. The checking in process was painful - we’d paid for breakfast, but, as explained by the receptionist who eventually arrived, the online system doesn’t recognise this if it’s an ‘add on’ - so our booking said room only.
The room was unclean. The water pressure was awful, and the extractor fan in the bathroom sounded more like a diesel generator.
The walls in the bathroom were littered with holes, and if someone had been having a fight inside.
A quick google search shows the hotel hasn’t been renovated since 1989 - I’m amazed it’s this recent.
Breakfast is incredibly greasy - the second morning was slightly better.
But for being in a good location, this would be 1/5. Awful.
Hotel undated beds very hard and bathroom had mold around the bath door into the room had been repaired badley curtains hanging down and didn’t fit window
Honestly had the most wonderful time from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Stop Monday to Wednesday. We had 3 rooms between our family 2 on level 1 and 1 on level 3+. All rooms were clean and tidy nothing had to be reported. We all slept amazing and breakfast was great with a fantastic choice. We paid to have an evening meal on the Monday again was fantastic for the price with a great choice to choose from. We Definitely be returning. Perfect place just outside of town but tram stop right outside the hotel.
I'm from London , I enjoyed every moment being here . It was absolutely amazing place ,I have never been before . And yes the team was very professional , and i was enjoying our trip )))
Stayed here recently as part of a walking trip along the West Coast. Ive stayed here several times and found every trip to be a joy. The hotel has an excellent position..being far enough away from the hustle of the town but close enough to walk (or tram) to the fun.
Hotel was again clean, warm, comfy and friendly. Staff provide a warm friendly good old fashioned 'unsctipted' level of service. The breakfast being excellent value for money and a lot of choice. For a traditional good value and relaxing friendly trip id certianly reccomend The Savoy Blackpool.
See you again soon!!
Brilliant lovely hotel, staff are lovely, hotel is clean and tidy, bedrooms are suites and new carpets and beds, great views out to sea, love it,been 7 times, already booked for next year.
Our stay at the savoy in Blackpool was great we had a nice room with sea view and it was very clean staff are friendly and it's situated in a great place would definitely come back
We were so disappointed in the whole experience of our 2 night stay at the Savoy Blackpool. We decided to book because the name 'SAVOY' suggests it would be good quality but it could not be more wrong. We paid 265.00 for 2 nights so it's not cheap. It's uncared for..very low quality old room furniture. The service was bad, cold breakfast cold plates. You can see why the staff seem so unmotivated...they have nothing good to work with. In conclusion for such an iconic name in the hotel industry it is really a mis sell by using the name SAVOY. Refund me please.
Clean rooms , my room was rather small, with a three quarter double bed.
The reception staff are fabulous. The lady at the bar on Sunday 5th October was so nice, pleasant & helpful.
The bedroom was overheated for us.
Clean & comfortable.
Thank you.
we stayed 2 nights and had to change room. The allocated room was more like hostel accomodation - very poor mattress. toilet wouldn't flush. bathroom window didn't close properly and tv didn't work other than shopping channel - it cost us another £10 to change rooms - would never stay here or recommend for others
Arrived here for 2 nights. Initial bedroom on 3rd floor was awful. Tv didn't work toilet blocked and bathroom window didn't close properly. Looked more like hostel accommodation and the most unvmcomfortable bed I have ever slept in with a thin mattress and thin duvet. We reported to staff the morning after and asked to move rooms. The second room was more comfortable and bed adequate. We were charged £10 extra . Tbh the public areas were fine but wouldn't consider this hotel again .It really needs inspecting bothering tourist authorities
Yes
hotel lovely and clean and warm room was nice and large parking was limited
We stayed for 2 nights at the Savoy and were happy with the accommodation, food and service. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and have TV, hair dryer, tea/coffee facilities. The food in the dining room was buffet style and offered soup, salad, a limited choice of hot dishes, and desserts. It was tasty and acceptable. We found all the staff to be pleasant and helpful, especially in the restaurant. We left a tip for the staff on our departure as a thank you.
Had a great stay, staff fab, room ok, food ok, free parking fab, weather bad but not hotel fault, hotel is old and the different room look amazing. Thanks
Staff are amazing and area is nice but the room was disappointing tiny double uncomfortable bed heating on constant so felt like a sauna. Pigeon nest outside room 127 window very noisy. But hotel building itself quite nice has a faded grandeur vibe.
