The spa and facilities were excellent. The breakfast was good and the staff were very attentive. Refreshing the buffet with fresh food regularly

Cons:

Everything was fine for our needs and short stay. The fire alarm did activate at 0240 hrs. Found this surprising as the desk where the alarm is located is at the main desk. Would have expected the alarm to have a short delay before activating the sirens in the rooms. Was quickly silenced.

If you want a short getaway, this is the place to go to.
Pros:

Well looked after with some ongoing decorating which is a good sign. It is clean, spa was ok as well.

Cons:

Pillows. It’s always pillows that downgrade my stay !!!

Felt at home and welcome - great value.
Pros:

From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. The whole team from reception, to maintenance, bar and restaurant and gardeners were brilliant - super friendly and accommodating. Special shout out to the maintenance guy who fixed our aircon, taking the luggage trolley back for us and finding us a shady spot to sit. We had 3 rooms and requested we were all close to each other - no problem. It was boiling hot and the bar staff kept us topped up with water and ice whenever we asked. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was excellent. There was a big event taking place but we didn’t feel “lost”. Spa was great - big pool plus sauna etc. the jacuzzi has a great view. Real value for money. Thanks Norton Grange.

Pros:

Staff from reception, waiting on, bar, maintenance, bedroom/cleaners are all superb. Never have I visited a hotel where all staff have been so attentive. Whilst our room was not ready on arrival due to a problem with the air conditioning, maintenance was on it. It was rectified very quickly, no fuss. There was a large conference going on, that took up a large portion of outdoor space, no problem, we were secured with a suitable area in a shaded area for us girls, to enjoy. Spa facilities excellent. Food excellent. Rooms are comfortable. We will definitely return. Well done and thank you for a very enjoyable visit

Ok… ish

A low review because the 3 key elements you need from a hotel is (1) dark room (2) comfy bed (3) quiet room. Neither of these key elements were met by the hotel. The room wasn’t dark because there isn’t blackout curtains or blinds that stop light bleeding around the edge…. the bed was quite old and there wasn’t a mattress sealed encapsulation; only sheets used which isn’t great if there are bedbugs or spillages. The room wasn’t quiet because the air-conditioner is very old and made banging noises during the night.

I would stay again but maybe ask if there was a more modern area to stay in.

Cons:

Bar staff were slow and didn’t specify if it was table service or you went to the bar for evening food. Room was slightly dim and old fashioned. Clean but not what I expected for £273 for 2 nights.
