Lovely hotel with a great team of employees. Bar area very novice and spacious
Lovely hotel
Nice hotel, good breakfast, great gym! Slightly let down by tired looking decor and early finish for ordering in the restaurant (8:45). Also disappointed that the fine dining was only available at weekends.
Smacks of a business in decline, effort put forth by reception was pretty lacklustre, room - ok - served a purpose but won’t be returning.
Stayed for 3 nights at the Albrighton. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, from reception to breakfast and bar..
We had a superior double, lovely quality robes and slippers, and also quality soap toiletries.
The Spa is really tired, tiles in the pool missing, Jacuzzi not working as waiting for a new one, shower in the ice room broken, not a nice experience. We each had a back massage and have to say this was a great experience and worth the £44 each paid.
Housekeeping is the area that really lets the hotel down, webs in the bedroom ceiling, sick not cleaned around the taps, door grubby where you would touch it to enter. The whole hotel reflects this and is why I'm scoring as okay
Some areas of the property are looking tired and in need of refurbishment.
We were disappointed to return to our room after a day out only to find it had not been serviced apart from a set of towels being replaced that didn't need to be. When we reported this we were told that the Service staff had finished for the day. So we had to do it ourselves. Compensation amounted to 2 G & Ts!!
The new ownership by Radisson has not improved this hotel - YET!
Very smooth check-in, friendly staff and very clean. Tge spa facilities weren’t very good. Swimmingly pool freezing cold, jacuzzi out of order and a foul smell in the steam room. Would not book this as a spa hotel but a great place to stay
The grounds were well kept and added to a peaceful atmosphere. The Junior Suite i stayed in had a great design with archways and wooden beams , it was spacious and comfortable.
They could do with a more electronic booking managmeent system as paperwork can be lost . I wasnt entirely sure what features were reserved - eg late check out or an evening meal in which restaurant . The room service was very good nonetheless.
Have stayed here before, normally fab . Recentlt taken over by new franchise group . Top room in schoolhouse , room 40 i think . Lovely size room but could see springs through bed mattress , should never have been offered room . Room 22 small but lovely bed . Swimming pool cold . No jacuzzi as being replaced . Tom on reception and Steph on leisure staff brilliant . Boiler had gone down on pool , usually one of best pools for temp
Very old building so appreciate that it can’t be as spotless as new hotels but there were old dead flies on the windowsill in the dining area and huge spider dead in the swimming area. Tiles in the pool cracked and jacuzzi not working was a bit disappointing. We were upgraded to a suite at the very top of the building which was very nice but lots of steps to climb. I think this was because the hotel had 2 coaches of elderly people who most probably would not have been able to manage. Breakfast was very busy also because of this and had to wait for ten minutes for a table. All in all it was an ok stay
Lovely ‘old house’ feel to this hotel. Friendly staff. Our room was upgraded for no apparent reason and we were appreciative of this. Comfortable bed.
The stay was great. Rooms modern, with all facilities you needed for a pleasant stay.
Beds were very comfortable, USB sockets very handy.
The restaurant was superb, some of the best lamb I’ve ever had!
The hotel is stunning, but the service was disappointing. At check-in, no information was provided about the breakfast times, the location of the breakfast room, or the spa facilities. I had to ask multiple questions to get even the most basic details, which left a poor first impression.
Housekeeping was also inconsistent, with unvacuumed carpets and bathroom bin left uncleared.
Overall, while the hotel’s appearance and some staff members impressed, the lack of clear communication, inconsistent housekeeping, and poor spa management took away from what could have been a truly enjoyable stay.
I was slightly disappointed. I had paid to uprgade for a superior room and felt like we were given a standard room.
The room didn’t look like the images displayed.
Really beautiful location- lovely room - great food and exceptionally nice staff- Spa definitely needs an update but am assuming as it’s recently been acquired it will get one - the spa staff also really excellent- would definitely book again
Lovely hotel, really liked the garden out the front and the seating outside. Shame the umbrellas on the tables weren’t working. The room in the stable building was nice & a comfortable bed but the door to leave the building banged every time someone went through it that we could hear in the room.
Pleasant enough hotel check in not very helpful no information about the hotel other than where the room was.
Not very clear at booking that it wasn’t a half board package, as booked, but actually bed & breakfast with a £25 contribution to dinner (which didn’t go very far)
Dinner and breakfast were okay apart from sunny D at breakfast, a quality hotel with no fresh orange juice was a bit disappointing
We booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children, but the sofa bed was only made up for 1 person. 1 set of towels and 1 pillow. I informed reception and I was willing to wait for the pillow as the kids were ready for bed, but they said they would deliver them. It was after 10.30pm on them delivering them and we were all in bed!!
We were also very disappointed that the jacuzzi was out of order as the spa facilities was the main reason for the stop over at this particular hotel.
The breakfast was very tasty.
Some parts like arm chairs looking worn and the pool was very cold.
Staff and ground amazing.
Excellent rooms, service and food. Spa was also welcome bonus although jacuzzi not working at time of stay.
