I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and helpful the staff was, especially in the restaurant
All was good
Very clean and comfortable. Great location on edge of town and very quiet - would definitely stay here again
Nothing
Wonderful location. Lovely clean and comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely Bar and restaurant.
Everything was great.
Room - clean, spacious, massive bathrooms, fantastic shower, fluffy towels, soap, tea/coffee provided, black out curtains & parking. Receptionist Leonna was brilliant.
For the price - would I stay again if passing through - yes. If there was a function on and people staying over - no.
Please note, the walls in the lodge are paper thin, and the floors above are very creaky!! We were woken twice in the night for nightly toilet trips from the family above us. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs! It's like camping outside where you can hear everyone snoring - lol.
Breakfast - the lady serving told my husband they were fully booked but would squeeze us in, however we had to have ordered in the next 15 minutes. Of all the tables in the restaurant, only 3 were used the whole time we were there. My husband's breakfast looked lovely, however my Cumberland sausage barm was something else. It was one of those thin swirly/spiral sausages on a massive white barm; more bread than sausage. I was expecting proper thick Cumberland sausages...so that was disappointing. Despite one grumpy member of staff, the other lady serving was lovely and happy.
Great location, best hotel bed I’ve slept in for a long time!
Very clean, easy cheak in, cosy 👌
Everything was up to standard, no complaints at all
Easy access to Kendal & the Lakes. Comfortable accommodation with bar & restaurant on site
A small fridge would be nice in the rooms to keep drinks cold
Location
Stayed 3 nights not once were the towels changed or the tea coffee and milk replaced even had to ask for extra tea bags and milk which is very poor at best.
Clean, very comfortable bed, lovely big bathroom. Helpful staff
The rooms in the annex I was in had very little soundproofing so it was pretty noisy in the evening.
Perfect location for golf and lakes
Excellent place, just the beddouble wasnt doublebed, two single bed were combine to make one which was little bit of discomfort other than everything about the lodge was perfecg
Two single bed were joined to make one
The accommodation was perfect! Cleaned to a high standard.
The onsite restaurant was great and good value for money.
N/A
The place was ideal for our golf break
Sleeping area a little small but adequate for our needs
Shower and WC room was large and the beds were comfortable
There was nothing that I didn’t like about this property
Overall a pleasant experience which could have been so much more. The facility is impressive, it exudes success, the lodges being part of a programme to offer golfing holidays. I was more than a little concerned about their cost cutting in ways that reflect poorly on their efforts at being welcoming and making you feel important. As an example the toilet tissue has to be the very worst we have ever encountered, it's cheap and as a result nasty and almost none functional. A box or vanity of tissues would also have been a welcome feature.
Annoyingly there is a light in the ceiling above the main door which remains on throughout the night, total darkness cannot therefore be achieved and since it is 'white' light immediately wakens the brain and the process of getting back to sleep has to start again!
The little things are important and should be concentrated on to make the stay more enjoyable.
The floor surface in the bathroom was in desperate need of grouting. The tiles in front of the toilet could be responsible for a bloodied foot!
