Location ideal next to York station with undercover access. Beautiful hotel with a calm, restful ambience. Our twin room, second floor, was delightful with a splendid shower room. We had a view of the city walls and sash windows that we could open ( a bonus for us)
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, staff constantly replenishing. We had dinner at Peachey's which, again, was plentiful and tasty. Our waiter, Jacob, was attentive but not overly so. I particularly liked the many comfy chairs and sofas in the common areas to sit and relax with a book.
Overall I would definitely recommend The Milner and would love to stay again.
I got a nice upgrade
Nothing
I was made to feel so welcomed, everyone was so very friendly.
Very helpful friendly staff.. Room was very clean. Food at breakfast was exceptional.
Room was upgraded, very helpful staff, excellent food, fish & chips were exceptional. Breakfast was also really good, lots of choice and well cooked. Very good location.
Nothing.
Lovely room, lovely breakfast, friendly helpful staff. Thank you
Attention to detail

Stunning decor in hotel, feels like for made for royalty. Perfect location right next to station. Excellent breakfast. Friendly helpful staff.
Although breakfast was great, the restaurant dinner food was very basic and disappointing for a hotel of this calibre. Don’t think the it lives up to expeditions. We stayed for 3 nights and ate dinner Every night, and none of the meals we’re anything to get excited about. Even the desserts were average. the rooms lack character and feel very cold and inviting, not
As upmarket or warm as the rest. Not a little flower pot, or any piece of decor other than formal heavy curtains. Even a scatter cushion and a throw could soften the room and add more comfort.
A beautiful hotel, staff are amazing… up graded to minster suite what an absolute treat that room is.
Food is gorgeous I would highly recommend this hotel to stay I will definitely be returning. 😍
Comfy bed room nice
We booked the hotel because we have been before and wanted to use the pool etc
Room wasn’t ready till 3pm and the pool was closed for maintenance
The staff where amazing, the room was cold, we asked reception and lady did get heating going, on day one but it kept going of the heating, we booked breakfast, for the Saturday, went into the dinning area there was bones on floor from last night dinner, staff where very quick to clean it up, breakfast was excellent, location very good parking is a joke!!! Not enough at all.
The room was cold, even when reception put heating on, it didn't stay on, we went for breakfast there was bones on floor from last night dinner, was disgusting 😳 staff did clean up very quickly.i would say for the price of the hotel, it's clean, but isn't sparkling need some TLC, the room was good but bathroom needed a deep clean, it was clean but little buts like scum around sink plug hole i cleaned that myself .
