Great location
Nice hotel and close to a lot of restaurants and shops. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfy. I like that they offered free parking and breakfast. We’d stay there again.
We can to Minneapolis after a very long drive of about 7 hours. I reserve the room the same day for a very high price. We got the 2 queen bed suite which was not in the best shape. All the cushions of the sofa were out, and all the drawers were open. The garbage can was looking at my face. A very good lady helped and told us that the cleaning of the room was approved by the manager and someone forgot to put the things together. On asking if we can be moved to another room, Ofcourse they did not have any other room for us at 930 pm in night. I had to take the whole luggage twice to the room with all this going on. After the young lady put the things together, We then came up and found that the kitchen sink was disgustingly bad. We were told that this likely came from the dishwasher. This was cleaned by the good lady at night. We were asked to talk to the manager in am.
The disgusting feeling that we got from the sink is still there and we were not able to use the kitchen with 2 little kids. Anyways in am after talking to the manager the only response we got.. we are sorry, we will clean the room and housekeeping would come or we can change your room later in the day.
Ofcourse, they will clean it or change the room now, but what abt the discomfort that we went through from going through all that. I had to spent almost 1 hour outside the room, and then came back and made to stay in the room which did not appeared clean to begin with. I have been to multiple hotels and am a silver elite marriot bonvoy customer and this was not a pleasant experience as we were made to live in a room that was not clean when we arrived. I never wrote a review before and am very patient and forgiving person. But this was not appreciated at all.
I stay at many hotels for work and leisure and I’ve never had a worse front desk experience than at the Residence Inn Maple Grove/Arbor Lakes.
When I was checking in, Artem was at the front with another woman. He started the process and I asked questions about the property and elite upgrade availability. The two of them started to stare at the screen and talk in another language in front of me! This action told me right away that their staff do not know hospitality, are very poorly trained or are not held accountable for their actions. The unprofessional discussion they had in another language made me feel like I wasn’t even there. I am still shocked at how badly this action left me feeling about Marriott and especially the Residence Inn Maple Grove/Arbor Lakes.
Our stay was great! The place was very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Our room was amazing and fit my family of 6 with lots of room. I think we found our new favorite place when we go with the whole family.
The room was spacious and
Everything was good. No problems.
Great place and fit our needs perfectly! Kitchen area was an added bonus!
Very courteous staff.
The room was clean. We were able to walk to dining options. There was a lot of breakfast options and coffee and juices. Nice large size water bottles available was a nice touch.
👍
Costumer service was great breakfast was great super clean the bed was super comfy I love everything about my room .
Large, clean rooms
The breakfast is great, wide variety of food to choose from. Clean, plenty of room
Water pressure in the shower was lacking.
Staff from front desk to housekeeping couldn't be friendlier. The location can't be beat - close to restaurants and shopping.
We were traveling with dogs and we love that the hotel is dog friendly and the area where it is located is interesting and safe for taking long walks with the dogs.
Clean, comfortable and spacious! Great breakfast too!
Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff. The only issue I had that kept it from getting 5 stars was a single incident. I locked my key in my room and went down to the front desk. The woman sitting behind it was looking at her phone. I didn’t say anything to disturb her so waited. I looked at my watch and it was literally 7 minutes before she looked up and saw me.
Very clean
Seems like the Residence Inn brand is going down hill everywhere. However, this one is probably the worst I have been in yet. I travel ALOT for work and stay in extended stay hotels across several brands more than 300 days a year. This location has been horrible.
The breakfast offerings are on the level of continental breakfast status. The brand used to offer full breakfast options. Not so much anymore. Everything comes from individually wrapped options that can be seen in a vending machine. This location does not even have a waffle maker. The eggs never seem to be fresh, even if they are powdered.
The towel quality at this location is motel status as well as the cleaning. I had to clean the rust stains and floor of the shower before I was able to take a shower.
Let's get into the staff.
1st issue - I called the front desk to request weekly cleaning. It was in the evening and the young lady said I will put you down for the future date I requested. The day the cleaning was supposed to happen, the room is not cleaned. Remember, I am here working so I am gone during business hours. So, I contact the front desk, they have no record of me requesting weekly cleaning. Fine can I get on the schedule? And can you bring a set of sheets and towels, and I will do it myself for this week? Sure. I proceed to remove the sheets thinking I would be getting a replacement set. 2 hours later still nothing. I finally go down to the front desk, of course it is not the person I made the request to 2 hours before, so this person has no idea I made the request. They go and get my replacement sheets and towels and the night proceeds.
2nd issue - The dishwasher had a minor overflow in the kitchenette, I cleaned it up and requested maintenance to repair the issue. They came when I was not in the room and did something. I use the dishwasher again and there is water in the bottom of the dishwasher, I request maintenance again and remained in the room while waiting for the repair. Two gentlemen arrive and put a bottle of something and start the dishwasher. They request I throw the bottle away after the cycle completes.
One of the men tell me to consider washing the dishes by hand. I asked him why that would be necessary since there is a whole dishwasher in the room that should be repaired. He chuckled and left.
Before the cycle can complete, water is pouring out everywhere onto the floor. I call down to the front desk to let them know that there is water everywhere and the lady that answered proceeded to question if I was requesting a repair. I explained that I did not know what needed to be done for the machine, however there is water everywhere. She put me on hold, when she came back, she said she would note the file for a repair.
I proceeded downstairs to get more towels to clean up the water. I not so calmly explain to the front desk that water was everywhere. Since you are not going to send anyone up to correct this issue, please give me some towels to help soak up the water. I explain that I did not need a repair at that moment, I just needed assistance getting water up so that my stuff would not get wet, nor would they have an incident with the room next to me or below me.
That was still not enough towels. Still no staff came to the room to assist. I went back down to the front desk and loudly request additional towels and that I really needed assistance with getting the water up. The dishwasher had been stopped but there was water still pouring out. Finally, she requested the initial maintenance person to follow me back to the room. However, he did not have a clue what to do. Finally, the maintenance manager came and made the correct repair.
Fortunately, nothing personal was damaged. I cannot say for the flooring under the sink or cabinets. Nothing is smelling and I kicked the kick plate, and it has not crumbled.
I work in a customer facing business, I cringe that this level of customer service seems acceptable. Especially in HOSPITALITY.
