A Moxy in name but miles ahead of the pack. Have stayed 500+ nights in the Bonvoy Group over last few years including quite a few Moxy.
This is a superb example. High floor room, stunning views through floor to ceiling windows. Super modern. Great breakfast. For a 3* hotel, often as low as €100 a night, is staggering. And the Spanish staff are all great.
- room was incredibly clean
- room was large and good value for money
- bathroom was clean
- big tv that has all the channels
- very modern
- check out staff when we left super early in the morning was so helpful & kind !
- we felt safe within the hotel
- bathroom was on the smaller side but fine to manage
- right next to pubs & trams that run late so will hear music etc
- not in the nicest part of Dublin (more on the rough side) be mindful when walking around
at least they had breakfast, though you had to pay.
staff just going through the motions as I asked specifically for a bed away from the elevators(with three rooms, you think they could have found one) and they gave me exactly near the elevators. terrible beds and pillows. no heat even after I called. lights are off unless you walk under them. it's a really cold, cheaply maintained place to stay, with staff that makes you wait forever and then doesn't even listen to your request.
Lovely drinks in the Moxy in Dublin City made even better by Samuel who was a greater waiter and added to the atmosphere
location was great and the atmosphere was really welcoming.
pillows were really comfy but there was not enough storage in the room.
the staff was really really nice, especially the breakfast staff, lydia and nicholas who could help us with some sightseeing tips.
the buffet was lovely, rich and just perfect. and the eggs were a 11:10.
it was pretty loud because of the construction site next door.
We visited Dublin over the May Bank Holiday weekend and had an amazing experience throughout our three-day stay.
The hotel could not have been more centrally located. Although there were a few questionable characters around the area, we always felt completely safe during our visit.
From the moment we checked in, Paul was spot on with his recommendations for places to visit and dine. His local knowledge helped us make the most of our time in the city.
Fiona is an absolute gem. She was always incredibly helpful, and it was a delight to meet her in the corridors, where she would always greet us with a warm smile.
We also enjoyed drinks at the bar, which was a lovely way to unwind after exploring the city. Although we didn’t have the opportunity to try the breakfast, every other aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations.
Overall, our visit to Dublin was memorable, and the hospitality we received played a big part in making it so special.
We will return
Gute Lage, Frühstück ausreichend, freundliches Personal.
Kaffeeauswahl: entweder Doppelter Espresso oder 200ml Kaffee, kein Schrank und keine Abstellfläche im Zimmer
We stayed at the Moxy Dublin for four nights. The location was convenient and the staff were friendly.
However, be aware that the rooms are extremely small and cramped for two people. On our first night, I injured my leg getting out of bed after hitting a chair that was positioned very close to the bed with limited walking space which resulted in a massive bruise that affected the remainder of our trip.
After reporting the incident, the front desk offered to move us to a larger room with two beds. We packed up our belongings before leaving for the day, but when we returned, the new room was only slightly larger and still had one bed. While the staff did try to accommodate us, the room change did not address the space issue.
Pros:
Friendly staff
Good location
Modern, clean hotel
Cons:
Very small guest rooms
Tight furniture layout with limited clearance around the bed
No refrigerator in the room
No gym/fitness center
Overall, the hotel may work well for solo travelers or those who plan to spend very little time in their room. For couples, travelers with multiple suitcases, or anyone who values room space and amenities, it may feel quite cramped.
It was my distinct pleasure to meet Guillia, Maria, Adela, and Catia at the Moxy bar! We loved their recommendations about places to visit on our road trip through Ireland. They taught me how to "split the G"- this activity is not for the faint of heart, but is a rite of passage in Dublin!
We came to have dinner and we really had a quality time really nice place , music, food and drinks, the workers Adela, Giullia,Cática and María where super nice and explain everything to us and order new drinks and they we’re really kind.
Essentially every employee was dismissive and unbothered by customer concerns or needs. Terrible customer service. Internet TV didn’t work. Rooms super tiny for the price.
Everything was great, the staff was friendly, and they have a really good signature cocktail.
The rooms was very well designed until it came to having independent control of your own room temperature. The manager places controls on the room by resetting your comfort temp at will almost hourly. Trying to rest and then wake up sweating isn’t the experience that one would expect from anything related to Marriott. I will not stay here again. This hotel is a poor example for the overall experience and branding for Moxy and Marriott.
Obviously, this is dublin. Drinks are phenomenal around the city, but this is the best old-fashioned I've had!!
