Conveniently located, great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff
We stayed during a heatwave, the room was very hot. It’s down to exceptional weather conditions and probably rarely the case but air con would help
Amazing staff who catered for our needs. Early check in, kept our bags safe whilst we went to the Metallica gig.
Unfortunately our shower was too hot and couldnt go below 34 degrees. Only time I will slightly complain about being too hot. It is warm in thr UK atm
Friendly staff. Great breakfast
Air conditioning would be welcome but weather was exceptional
Świetna lokalizacja
Ogromny upał, brak klimatyzacji
Very good area, easy to get to.
Skylight open, left dirt on the bed covers. Noticed a wet stain on the bed covers. Room was way too hot even with a fan, it was blowing hot air around.
Lovely quaint boutique hotel
A tad hot @ 28 degrees but appreciate that it was extreme weather
Beautifully located in the centre of Pontypridd, I found the public rooms and the bedroom very tastefully decorated and in keeping with the historic building, with the bathroom well equipped. The portable A/C unit in the bedroom coped well with the exceptional heat and quickly reduced and thereafter maintained the room at a pleasant temperature, The wide selection of cooked breakfasts/brunch, although at a modest additional cost were a highlight with good quality ingredients tasty and well presented,. Another highlight was the staff, who were most pleasant and consistently helpful
The location precludes an onsite carpark but free parking is available in the carpark of a nearby restaurant. A problem with communication at check-in resulted in a penalty charge which the friendly and efficient hotel reception staff did their best to resolve; with a satisfactory resolution eventually achieved which did not leave me out of pocket. Something to watch.
This is a lovely boutique hotel, right in the centre of Ponty. My room was excellent; very large, with a sofa and extremely comfortable bed. The en suite had both a shower and bath. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. I arrived early, and was checked in as soon as the room was ready at no extra cost. Good value breakfast, and nice restaurant meals. Very close to railway station.
Ponty can be noisy on a Friday and Saturday. I advise getting a third floor room if you can.
This is a hotel I have stayed in many times. On this occasion, I was sitting an exam nearby but stayed a few days on either side to enjoy Pontypridd - it could not be more central for shops, restaurants and the market. The top floor room (9) is very comfortable and quiet with a roomy bathroom, lots of hot water, a shower and huge bath and great lighting. I particularly appreciated the lovely staff, the fantastic breakfasts (best ever, I think), the comfortable, firm matress, and the gorgeous soft (but also supportive) pillows. Everything worked well including the wifi and lift. There is a good system for parking a minute or two away. Oh, and nice to have a teapot in the room.
A quirky ,different stay
Nothing
We loved our suite! It was spacious and so comfortable. Perfectly located and close to the train station which took us to Cardiff!
It was very warm, the windows opened wide which helped and there was a fan but air con would have been the icing on the cake! The view from our room was interesting and could have been prettier but we enjoyed the pigeons who came to visit.
Staff were polite, excellent location. Free parking nearby
Rooms needs updating. Our shower tap was hanging off and the mattress was yellow.
Lovely room in great location, with responsive staff and excellent dinner and breakfast options even, rarely, for vegans. Thank you :)
Really nice room, full of facilities and in the centre of town. Free parking provided by the hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. There is a restaurant at this hotel but we didn't take advantage of this, it looks like a nice place to eat.
The shower could do with some maintenance. although it worked fine, just lose handle and the head might need replacing.
Room was large and comfortable...especially the bed. Good shower power, Breakfast was outstanding....gret quality, lots of it and well cooked...one of the best hotel cooked breakfasts I have ever had !! Good value for money...lovely staff.
No curtains...just a blind which was useless. Also a bit noisey in the alley outside were I was. They said blackout blinds were ordered. Was weary of parking location round the corner but it was ok. If you are in a hurry for breakfast then watch out...I got down for 7am each day for the week and I rarely got it before 0715hrs...probably as it was freshly cooked.
Cool old building. Bed was exceptionally comfy. Staff was very nice.
We stayed on a Sunday night and didn’t know that the restaurant was closed for dinner. The staff pointed us to the one open dining establishment in town that wasn’t a kebab shop. The area was a bit run down in general and there was karaoke at the pub next door that wasn’t quite loud but no real complaints about the property itself.
Hotel in Central location by Market Hall
Bedroom refurbished with mod cons
Even has a Tea pot as local Water is soft one bag is enough for 2 cups!
Hope to stay at this place again.
Nice place but hilly as your in the Valleys
At least hotel has a lift despite the building is old.
The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable
The lift was a bit scary leaving as it wouldn't go to the floor we wanted and made a really weird noise.
