Pros:

When I arrived I was amazed at the beautiful reception area. My room was small but I had a huge TV and my bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was also included in the price and it was hot and options for omelettes cooked fresh. It was probably one of the best breakfasts I've had at a hotel. The location was also ideal, only 5mins walk from the train station.

Cons:

Nothing really.

Comfortable but noisy
Pros:

Its location and it’s a nice modern hotel.

Cons:

The windows are double glazed yes you wouldn’t think so. Our room 227 faced the road and we had to ask for earplugs as the noise was so bad.

Lovely hotel…a little noisy due to location
Pros:

The refurbishment is lovely. Rooms were clean and staff are lovely

Cons:

It was noisy until around 3am, we had a room facing the front and they had a private function on which meant it was noisy when they were all leaving then a lot of shouting from other pub goers until early hours

Brand new hotel in central location
Pros:

Brilliant central location - 3 mins walk to station and shops. Everything in the hotel is new and good quality. The common spaces are contemporary and stylish, loved the lux bathroom and comfy bed.

Cons:

My room was sold as Deluxe but was small and lacked any deluxe features. No robe, slippers, or body moisturiser. Basic coffee bags and kettle, view onto a scaffold and noisy bins. I didn’t see a standard room but prob not worth the upgrade.

A lovely hotel but not the quietest room.
Pros:

The breakfast is as good as an English breakfast can be. Plentiful, tasty, freshly cooked and hot with a good variety.
The room was lovely. The bed was very comfortable, although I normally prefer it softer and we had great nights' sleep. I checked the brand for future reference: it was the same brand as we use at home.
I had a glitch connecting to the WiFi at first, but then the service was excellent and very fast.

Cons:

The sash window seals did not work, so sound could come in. It was generally very quiet but a bin collection at 6 am shattered the peace for just a few minutes. Our room overlooked a service lane from the main road, so it is probably only a problem for a few rooms.
My wife thought the pillows, although new, were quite firm, as we are used to soft, fluffy pillows.
The TV is in a daft position, facing nowhere to sit or lie to view. From the bed, the view was at such an angle that it looked like black and white.
The only place to store clothes is a 40cm wide wardrobe that was already full with the supplied dressing gowns and the ironing board.

Sisters Treating Themselves
Pros:

Firstly Si on reception, he was superb , what a happy friendly helpful man he was . Our rooms were beautiful, immaculately clean . Complimentary snacks and water . The bed was extremely comfortable , loved it .
All the staff were friendly, the whole place had a lovely feel about it . Breakfast was lovely , plenty of choice , and we all enjoyed it .
It's only 3 minutes walk away from the train station and the main city centre, ideal .
We would 100 % stay here again .

Cons:

For us personally, the restaurant let us down . We were the only table booked for a Saturday night, found that odd .
Ordered 1 fish and chips , 1 steak and onion pie with mash , and 1 Met burger with chips .
We knew as soon as the meals were put infront of us that they didn't look nice .
The fish and chips (Hake ) was fine , my sister enjoyed it . But my goodness, the steak pie was horrific , the meat was fatty , gristle, grey tinge to the gravy, and my sister even questioned the waiter as to what meat it actually was ! . It was inedible. Even the mash potato was horrid .
My burger was no better , advertised as a double patty ( a patty is thin ) , well I got a brown solid lump in a bun with salad , it was again horrible. No flavour, mass produced frozen brown lump . It was grim . We were so disappointed. The waiting on staff were very apologetic . And they did the decent thing by not charging us for the 2 inedible meals . It did put a dampener on our stay . But we know now , that we just wouldn't use the restaurant for meals again .
