Hotel Casa Tago

We turned up to the hotel after a long flight from the UK only to be told expedia are banned from this hotel and they had no space

PER PRICE ROOM WAS OK A/C WAS NOT WORKING, BREAKFAST WAS GOOD

This was a great place to stay for a night after arriving from a late flight. Safe parking. Staff was very nice. Breakfast & coffee were delicious. The manager said that Expedia hasn’t been notifying them of Expedia reservations. So our room with a private bath wasn’t available, but we were able to stay in a room w a shared bath. I don’t fault the hotel for this, as they said they asked Expedia to pause all reservations until it was resolved & they are continuing to book.

Host was super nice and hopeful. Cute little room. Delicious breakfast. My main complaint was no hot water.

Good for one night.

We chose Hotel Casa Tago due to its proximity to the airport. The family who runs the hotel are very nice and the security seemed sound. The room was basic and fulfilled our needs for a night.

Helpful and friendly

Hotels with low prices like this are super easy and convenient, but breakfast is quiet limited

Comfortable room/bed but missing some amenities. Very small shared bathroom with the room I booked. Very friendly and helpful staff and amazingly beautiful plants. Conveniently located close to the airport and in walking distance to the park, shops, restaurants, bars, and cafe

This was our 4th visit to Costa Rica. We love this country. Prevously our experiences with the hotels were always positive. However, this hotel was probably the worst one i ever stayed in. I only gave it 2 stars because the staff was friendly and helpful. Otherwise it was a disaster. The room smelled terrible and the windows wouldn't open. The neighborhood is unsafe to say the least. Our bathroom door somehow got locked from inside and we couldn't use it till morning
In the morning a hotel employee came with a hammer and a huge knife and broke open the door. Overall, its shabby, dirty and uncomfortable. Would not recommend to anybody.

I had a great stay. The staff went above and beyond. The free breakfast was delicious.

Free onsite locked parking! Pet friendly free pets! Pool. Sit down full breakfast and super friendly family owners. Good restaurants walkable nearby. Casa de sopa and el pats on Colombian arepas.

It was close to airport, friendly staff, area and hotel were quiet and complimentary breakfast was delicious

Nice pool to relax in but suggest umbrellas. Too much sun.

TV control didnt work. No shampoo, or enough soap, or toilet paper.

Cant open the Windows or balcony door cause bugs and mosquitos come in
Noisy guests

My room was very small. I needed more room for my suitcase. The fan speed didnt reduce.
