Lovely stay, super comfortable room
Pros:

Excellent breakfast

Cons:

The fire door outside our room banged, and closed loudly, so it disturbed us both very late each night and very early both mornings of our stay.

Cons:

Nowhere to sit down when you check in to the hotel. You are left standing looking down at seated staff - v off-putting and unwelcoming. What happens if you are elderly or infirm? This has been mentioned before I understand. Clearly management don't really care what the customers think!

Lovely HDV property with fabulous views over Clifton
Pros:

Great location, right by the Clifton Suspension bridge and shops/restaurants in the area of Clifton. The trip was to celebrate my birthday and the hotel upgraded us to a Gorge view junior suite. A fabulous room with wonderful views of the Gorge and bridge. We did have problems with the heating initially but this was resolved quickly. Breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the Gorge was very good. A good choice of hot and cold food and drinks. We also dined at the hotel in the evening and were impressed with the choice of options and quality of the food. The staff at reception and the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have a drink in the small hotel bar but did visit the pub that is attached to the hotel which was quiet when we were there, however I am sure it must get extremely busy at peak times.
Overall a really good stay at one of our favourite hotel chains and we will probably return in the future!

Great, but.......
Pros:

This hotel is in a great location looking out towards the suspension bridge. The welcome we had was fantastic and parking was easy but you need to get there early to reserve a permit, I'm not sure where you'd park without one.
Inside the hotel is amazing and room very clean with the exception of the windows, we paid extra for the view but couldn't see it except for some dead flies between the two pains of glass.
Dinner was a let down as there were no vegetarian options to choose from. It seems that vegan options are available and this ticks both boxes, let me tell you, it doesn't. The options even for vegans, 2 of them, were poor and lacked any kind of imagination. A celeriac steak and roasted carrots were choices on offer from a lazy chef. There was no offer to make something special just a vegan burger from the pub next door.
Complaints were dealt with well and refunds given which is great. We had dinner at the Clifton sausage, which isn't far away, and absolutely fantastic.
Such a good hotel, could be fantastic if they get with the times.
