Comfortable room and we were very well looked after.
Pros:

Lovely, spacious room with an extremely comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast which we ate at a table with a glorious view of Clifton Bridge. Our favourite hotel in Bristol.

Cons:

WE were very happy with everything.

Location great - restaurant awful
Pros:

Lovely room and comfy beds. We had a Gorge view which was nice but not essential as the public areas took care of that itch and with no balcony and small high window it wasn’t much of a bonus worth paying extra for. I’m better in rooms with lighter paint shades but I know this is a hotel du vin signature.

Cons:

The restaurant was truly awful. The Chablis didn’t taste of Chablis and the 2 sauces on the bass was overkill - the beans were swimming in oil, my husband’s
Steak came with an actual
Jug of garlic butter. I was offered ketchup and mayo as well from the waitress - I was promised fine dining and not a fish and chip shop experience. The Panna cotta was so solid I had to leave most of it. No, not impressed one bit.

Always good.
Pros:

We always enjoy the Avon Gorge Hotel.
Great location for Clifton and for getting out of Bristol (to go south).
Rooms are nicely done, outside terrace is nice.

Cons:

I think the bar can be a bit slow and isn't a great place to drink/eat inside.
