Loved the location. Great quirky decor and facilities. Loved the bath big enough for two!
Wasn't the room I thought I had booked but was of equally good quality.
Bath!!
Loved the room but would book again as they don’t take breakfast seriously! Breakfast from 8am but chef doesn’t arrive until then so takes 20 minutes for everything to warm up- no good when you’re on a working day.
The location was fabulous. The rooms had a nice ambience and the bar below was really friendly and zoned into different spaces. The room itself had excellent air conditioning and the bath was lovely. The discount for breakfast was a bonus and it was absolutely delicious!
The carpets were quite stained in places - they weren’t dirty but the staining (maybe bleach) made it seem like it wasn’t clean. Clearer instructions when booking about how and where to check in would be beneficial.

Main reason we booked was for the in-room bathtub - incredibly disappointing to find that the plug didn’t fully seal and so the bath continuously slowly drained whilst using it. Mentioned this to staff member when checking out and didn’t even receive an apology. Could’ve at least offered us a coffee on the house or something.
Check in - had to wait ages at the bar while they served drinks to get checked in. Would be a good idea to have a part of the bar reserved for check in customers.
Hallway leading to room was unbearably hot and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.
Lovely inviting space, with furniture asking you to sink in and spend a while.
Didn’t have a beach outside, but the river was a close second.
Everything was practically perfect.
The ONLY issue was that even though we were the only guests staying there that night there was no hot water in the morning once the kitchen opened.
Beautiful decor, thoroughly clean and best of all the staff are brilliant
Staff were super nice!!! Bath was 10/10, two people could fit! Bed omg the bed!!!!! Comfiest bed ever, I am a frequent traveller and this was the comfiest bed of my entire life! Gorgeous rooms. Honestly we weren’t really a fan of Bedford but this hotel is worth coming just for the room, we will be back 100% just for the bed!!!!
