I stayed in room 251 which this time had more desk/study space than my previous stay in room 115
Pros:

Its proximity to where I needed to get to each day

Cons:

The everlasting thunderous noise throughout the evening and nights which sounded like a washing machine the size of Big Ben, not sure what it was whether linked to the water system but its continuation was relentless. Ear plugs would help to prevent interrupted sleep.

From the outside this place looks like Holloway Prison
Pros:

the shower build.....

Cons:

The somewhat frosted window in the shower room, didn't appear to be fully closed but was secure. I imagined this enticing any peeping Tom, Dick or Harry. I didn't appreciate the towel rail radiator - which i burnt myself on in spite of the warning sign high above out of eyeline. Does it really need to be wired to come on when the light switch is switched on? I'm not convinced that it should be the case. Furthermore, the shower screen opens outwards which makes stepping into he bath to have a shower difficult. How about installing a grab-rail so that anyone can transfer safely?? The ceiling light in the room outside the shower, by the ironing facility and cupboard mirror was broken upon arrival. The space between the end of the bed and desk didn't allow for any comfortable studying. Alas the wide angled phots on the website were always gonna be deceiving.

One staff member upon checking in advised there was access to a microwave, so i did a mini shop at the Tesco's about 90secs away. Realised there's no mini fridge. The next day was told by a different member of staff there's NO access to a microwave. Which rendered my Tesco shopping items perishable - jings and crivvens!
