The location.
It was cold in the bedroom
Love this hotel. Great staff. Good food. Good entertainment.
Its not the poshest place but its comfy and clean .
Self service breakfast and dinner were available and absolutely brilliant choice for both. Again the staff were brilliant and friendly .
The shower curtain was not attached but I just got on with it. Not a big problem.
The guest next door on the phone to his wife and then his girlfriend provided endless amusement but his snoring was awful. Not the hotels fault .
The staff on the desk, Jacob and Ross were fantastic, the room allocated was filthy and dire to say the least and damaged I didn’t ask to change rooms just wanted it noted that it was like that upon arrival and Ross offered to change the room immediately, Jacob who was on the night shift about to finish was full of smiles and very polite and well mannered, I was looking for an old style charger having been out first thing looking but no shops open went above and beyond and found one for me, which literally saved my life, thanks
The hotel could be lovely if a lot of money was to be invested. Had to walk through a loud bar/nightclub to get to our room and as we arrived late with my son it’s not the environment I would have voluntarily exposed him to with the language and drunk people
Great stay for the price. Staff friendly reception. Pool fun for kids.
Could of been more floats for children. Some biscuits for your tea. But still enjoy my coffee. .
I loved the staff and entertainment and location was amazing, right across from the beach. The castle was huge. Shops nearby and other places too but plenty on site if you didmt want to leave hotel. Things to do for everyone. Fantastic atmosphere. All staff were fantastic.
Few maintenance and age issues. Little diy project is all it needs really. It is a fantastic place though. The food choices were great, defo needed more veg for a Sunday dinner though. (The tiniest baby carrots I've ever seen no other veg other than potatoes and cauliflower cheese defo need greens) it's mainly that but obviously it's a huge place and certain areas were getting sorted and decorated even whilst I was there so they are on it. Defo needs it in the rooms even little touches will make a huge difference. Price was reasonable however and I enjoyed my stay other than external factors that wasn't the hotels fault at all. I cannot fault them other than that at all. I will 💯 be back and would still recommend then even with the few maintenance issues it's still worth it!! 👌 💯
Friendly staff
Needs a refurb and there was stains on the bed board and hair in the bath tub
The location was suited fine on the seafront and not on the busy shop front area of the piers.
The cleanliness (worst place I have stayed at all across the UK. The gilding interior is worn down, constantly creaky and thin walls and floors. The room had been “cleaned” after asking for them to clean it a second time and I had to then myself clean it again. Before then being tipped over the edge by the fact the bathroom door didn’t have a complete handle locking mechanism and the replacement one above wasn’t even aligned to the slide lock so the door didn’t actually lock. I then went back down to reception a further time to state that I wouldn’t honestly use the room as a safe house if I had to it was that bad. I was told (this was about 2 hours after the initial clean) that the manager themselves were going to come and clean it. But I said it was too late I cleaned it as best as I could myself BUT I wanted to change rooms. I was later then moved to another room which was slightly cleaner but still wasn’t worth the stay. I’d never again stay at this specific hotel, I didn’t sleep well the 2 nights I was there and didn’t at all feel like it was sanitised enough to not live out of my suitcase the full time. However, due to not being from the area had no choice but to stay the 2 nights till home time.
Excellent views and lots to do inside the hotel
Cleanliness of the room wasn’t great, no toilet rolls etc either. Had to go out and purchase my own as very little staff to be found
Having to pay to swim
