Down Hall Hotel

We got married in March and honestly, from start to finish, everything was incredible. From the initial booking process and meetings, right through to breakfast and check-out the following morning, the experience was seamless and so well organised.

Nothing ever seemed too much trouble for the team. We were given helpful advice throughout, along with thoughtful monthly emails full of tips, which really helped us along the way. Tracy was absolutely excellent & she kept everything calm, relaxed, and completely under control, which made such a difference.

We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather, and the outdoor area made the perfect setting for our day, even though it’s not fully complete yet, it was still stunning.

The whole day was everything we could have ever dreamed of and more. A huge thank you to Linden, Tracy, and all the staff who were there on the day - they couldn’t do enough for us, without us even needing to ask.

The food was amazing, and people are still talking about the lamb shanks over two weeks later!

Thank you doesn’t feel like enough to express how grateful we are. We can’t wait to come back to our special place.

We absolutely loved our stay here and honestly wished we had booked for longer. From the minute we arrived, we felt so well taken care of. Mel was fantastic and made such a strong impression with how warm, helpful, and attentive she was.

We were travelling with our dog, and this place really goes above and beyond. The grounds were beautiful and perfect to enjoy with a pooch, and we were so impressed by the thoughtful touches like the dog menu, the welcome package for our dog, and a lovely treat waiting for us as well.

We had accidentally booked a room that was not dog friendly, but the staff handled it so quickly and smoothly and made sure we were looked after. Nothing felt like too much trouble.

Everything about the stay was fantastic. The room was stunning, the food and drinks were excellent, and the staff were exceptional across the board. It is one of those places that makes you want to come back before you have even left.

Beautiful hotel, lovely decor, spacious, clean with great facilities and amazing food. Wet spa was only allowed limited numbers which made the experience really nice. Food at the hotel was some of the best we had. Room was luxurious- beds super comfy.

The room service for dinner was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The room was wonderful too.

A fabulous sound bath retreat where we were treated with such care by Camilla. Very good value for all that was included in the stay.

Went for a spa day had a body massage for an hour Brenda the masseur was brilliant - best massage I’ve ever had will definitely go back again

Luke, Amy and the team at Down Hall helped us create an exceptional event for a corporate client. Their attention to detail, level of care and availability was outstanding.
From breakfast till dinner (and beyond!) they supported us and were super accommodating to our needs throughout.

The hotel was perfect for our daughters wedding such a beautiful setting. All the staff involved on the day were exceptional, very attentive
The wedding breakfast was amazing top restaurant quality the room used was spacious and looked lovely our toastmaster Keith was outstanding ensuring all went to plan in a very relaxed way picking up the vibes from the guests, he is also very funny We stayed overnight and our rooms were very comfortable and clean
The breakfast buffet served in a private room for wedding guests was delicious and plentiful we had a good choice of hot/cold food
The grounds are really well kept and lovely to walk round

Staff in the hotel were excellent. Extremely helpful, very polite. Fabulous decor/restaurants.

However…
A little disappointed with the
spa. Unisex Changing area very narrow. Had to leave the shower and walk across the narrow corridor into the changing room. I felt uncomfortable with this! Also had to carry clothes through the reception area to get to treatment rooms…. It just doesn’t work!
However, excellent back massage.

We have just got back from an amazing afternoon tea celebrating Mother’s Day. The food was delicious 🤤 the service impeccable and all staff were very polite and professional 🙏. Highly recommended this hotel 🙌
