Wonderful one night stay
Pros:

We had a wonderful one night stay at the hotel, from beginning to end. It was important for us to have good late night food option as we arrived late by train and the piano bar was perfect, great food, environments and drinks.

Luxurious Accommodations & Excellent Service
Pros:

The Excelsior Hotel Ernst is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in and also one of the most luxurious experiences I have ever had. The room was thoughtfully appointed with every detail attended to, including a bottle opener and glass for your water at night and the flat pillows and washcloths I requested ahead of time. The included steam room, sauna, amenities, minibar and breakfast all contributed to a very luxurious treat for us!

Pros:

Отличный профессиональный персонал, решающий все возникающие вопросы. Фантастическое местоположение. Интересный интерьер и пиано бар с живой музыкой

Cons:

Интернет в номере практически не работал (возможно это была локальная проблема). Верхняя лейка душа не работала. Бассейна не нашел, спа очень ограниченное. Всё очень потертое и старое для отеля, который позиционирует себя как 5 звезд. Я бы дал 4- звезд.

Prestige and glore from the past century
Pros:

It's a prestige hotel, but even though we had booked a normal room AND a suite, we feel that this hotel needs to be modernized. There's grandeur, staff and service are great. The hotel offers all the features and services : spa, gym, pool, vallet service, etc. The old furniture in the rooms is of course the style of the hotel, but even though it's old, it should not lack comfort and unfortunately the rooms lack comfort.

Cons:

We booked a suite ( for more than 700 euro/night ). The room was spacious, but in the end it wasn't amazing. The old interior has charm, but the suite is actually like a bedroom with a separate living room. So it doesn't offer the feeling of a large suite as the bedroom-part is just like a normal hotelroom. The separate living room really needs an update. The furniture is old and classic, but unfortunately the 'old' in this case also means worn out, not comfortable anymore. The couch, the chairs offer zero comfort. There are stains on the carpet and the TV is the kind of TV you'd expect in 2005, not in 2025. Airco / Heating wasn't working amazing. The bathroom, altough it all works, isn't exactly the kind of bathroom you'd expect in a suite. Basically, the suite was : standard room + living room, and unfortunately this 'living room' has poor comfort and doesn't offer value nor grandeur. It's basically just offering worn out square meters
