I liked the location but not not a three star hotel
Pros:

Rooms were clean but needed updating. Our unit in the main building was facing the pool with an ocean view. There are at least three buildings in the complex that differ in view and layout. Our bedroom was tight to the edges of the bed with a main room that was open and a bit of wasted space with a small pull out couch in one corner and small table in the other. The balcony was nice but the chairs were cheap plastic and uncomfortable. The bathroom needed a gutting. Kitchen was not bad with a gas stove top and new fridge. No smoke detector visible which was concerning given the gas stove top which we never used. No dishwasher, no dish soap, no plug for the kitchen sink so I assume housekeeping simply rinsed your dishes (ugh). The hotel was close to a strip of restaurants and bars. The hotel restaurant was good, located by the pool with open air seating only.

Enoyable stay in Barbados
Pros:

Excellent location at the beach and staff were very helpful, nice food and happy hour. well placed for visiting the island

Cons:

The hotel is nice but in need of some renovation. The pictures are better than real life and our room was opposite a building site.

Beautiful location for a reasonable price.
Pros:

Beautiful location on the beach. It was nice to have a Bar/Restaurant on sight. Check in was friendly and efficient. The room was large, clean and had the needed essentials.

Cons:

When we were there, they had two gals working in the Bar/Restaurant. One was very friendly. One not friendly at all. Acted like we were annoying her by being there. Everyone has personal problems, but they need to be left at home. Hopefully things have gotten better for her, therefore better for the guests. It put a bit of a damper on our evening.

GO! GO! GO!!
Pros:

Wonderful staff, great service! Will definitely be coming back again. The location was perfect! In walking distance to restaurants and bars to the Gap but far enough to not be disturbed by noise during busy night life. And Dover beach was beautiful! Was it a nice stay? Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you Dover Beach Hotel.

Location was good but hotel very outdated

Second morning i was there asked for a toaster in my room which all rooms should come with there was no space to even make a cup of coffee the microwave was very old with rust swimming pool was dirty

Overall a good budget hotel
Pros:

Stayed a week in Dover beach hotel - block behind the hotel. Lovely room with huge comfy bed, good aircon and hot showers , kettle microwave fridge etc. nothing to worry about with cleanliness room was cleaned daily. Perfect for a hotel to rest your head in! Loungers were fine by the pool but we went out most days. They will move them into the beach but there’s then no shade at all. Lovely beach but the sea was very wavy whilst we were there so needed to go to other calmer beaches along the coast to swim.
