Awesome deal with city transportation at the doorstep.
Pros:

Its proximity to public transportation. I hopped on and off the city bus in front of the hotel. It is a very nice renovated hotel with a good breakfast. It is an incredible deal

Cons:

The walls in the rooms are paper thin. I literally could hear the entire conversation from my neighbors. I travel with a fan and earplugs. Don’t forget to bring something with you. Also, I heard every word of the neighbor’s conversation so if you need privacy know you won’t have it in these rooms.

Ear plugs may be needed to stqy here if you want a peaceful night's rest.
Pros:

This hotel is located in what appears to be a commercial/industrial zone. Which is fine with me because it helps cut down on foot traffic in the area and noise from a busy street. The receptionist was pleasant but not much help when we called down to ask our neighbor in the room next door to turn down the volume on whatever they had playing. I can still hear the music playing on a loop at 1am. The room was a bit dated but clean. Housekeeping does a good job. Needed some maintenance TLC to make the room on par with hotels in a large metropolitan area. Also, the walls are paper thin, you can hear other people's conversations in other rooms and in the hall way. This was my second time trying one of the La Quinta properties in the Raleigh NC. If you choose to stay here bring some noise canceling ear plugs unless you dont mind hearing folks talking.

Pros:

Great. Check in was smooth. Christin breakfast attendant, excellent, very friendly. 5 stars to her. Room attendants, 5 stars also. Just kept replacing towels on demand. Six kids (4girls) go through them very quickly. Clean room, pool, lobby, parking lot

The price was decent and the breakfast was average BUT the smoke smell and the rude lady didn’t seem very welcoming

The staff was rude at the front desk and she had no social skills or a simple welcoming smile. Also the lobby and elevator smelled like smoke. Breakfast didn’t have a lot of options

I’ve stayed here in the past and I’ve always had a great comfortable sleep.
Pros:

The overall appearance inside the lobby area.

Cons:

The water in the lounge had a musky taste like a rusty pipe. The pillows are too high. I think they should have long flatter pillows as an option. I’ve stayed at a hotel that kept option pillows in the drawer with extra blankets.
