Receptionist upon check in was detached, unengaging and very serious - felt awkward
This is the second time I've stayed here. It's been a year. The concerns I had last year have not been corrected. The carpet at the elevators and halls are disgusting! Completely gross. Black with filth! It immediatly make syou feel like the whole place is dirty. The owner has lost their "I give a care" button and attention to detail. I'm Curious when the last time they walked the whole property was. I got in around 11am. My digital key didn't work. But luckily, I checked in and grabbed a real key. That didn't work either. The lady at the desk (Amazing customer service), was smart enough to make a new key and a key for a room next door. The battery, I suspect, on the door was dead. I got into my second room with no issues. The carpet is brown, as purchased, but after my hallway filth, I felt the whole place was dirty. I wore sandals everywhere in the room/bathroom. Not even my socks, like my typical MO. The light bulbs throughout were varying colors with a super white colored bath bar, so it makes your skin look horrible. My sink was backed up, and it took 3 flushes for pee to go down. I went to bed planning to make them honor the Hampton Inn Promise, and leave for a neighboring hotel. The same front desk lady advised when the maintenance crew would arrive. I was heading out at 11, so they kindly waited until 10am to correct the problem. He was polite, quick and nice. There was also a smashed wall plate in the bathroom, which again shows, a lack of attention to detail by anyone. I will not stay here next year for my conference, unless they have a major upgrade in the next 12 months. Overall, this could be a great hotel. There are many features/details that are a step up. The furniture throughout is modern. But when the first thing you see is filth, it makes you want to run!
Nastiest hotel I have stayed in ever!!! The carpets were so disgusting 🤮- it looked like someone ran a restaurant on the carpets and NEVER CLEANED THEM! I wore my flip flops the entire time and refused to let my feet touch the carpet the entire trip. See pics for detailed proof. We never ate there yet there were food particles in the floor of the room. We were only ever in the room at night to sleep due to being there for a family wedding weekend but had we needed to be there longer, I’d have checked out ASAP. Don’t go here. Ever!!!
The room was nice and clean
The carpets in the hallway is nasty and I didn’t like the fact you have to request housekeeping and when I did request it my room was never cleaned I was disappointed on that the bathroom has mold growing in the shower other than that it was clean
Breakfast was decent
Filthy carpet, dripping sink, no washcloths
Everyone was very nice and the room was very clean
Wasn’t really anything. Everything worked and it was a great stay for its value
Best soap in shower, great staff
Breakfast was terrible barely edible
Cost and location
I was shocked to see the high rating for this hotel on TripAdvisor. And I am disappointed of Hampton Inn, who has normally been a solid hotel stay for me. I've never has such a terrible experience when staying with them before. The hotel lobby floor was dirty; the hotel lobby furniture was stained. The hallway rugs were rippled heavily from wear and stained. I was hopeful that my room was not as bad as the first impression but I was wrong. The bathroom shower was so moldy, I wouldn't even use it. I purchased sheets to sleep on because I couldn't trust the very thin sheets I found on the beds. The crying baby in the next room was easily heard through the walls and kept me up through the night so I decided if I wasn't getting any sleep, I may as well pack up and leave, which is what I did at 6 am. I wanted out of there so badly, I left in my pajamas. I have never done that before but will from now on trust my instincts when I see such a sorry state of care of a lobby next time and just not check-in. A total waste of money and time.
Liked everything about it. Close enough to the mall so we didn't have to travel far
No dislikes
Front Desk always takes good care of me. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast leaves little to be desired.
All was excellent, especially the breakfast
Need drapes or blinds on room windows to eliminate lights from outside.
Cob Webs
Pillows too soft
No much
Old and in need of updating. Tattered carpet at elevators. Poor lighting in room, plumbing issues like sink not draining efficiently. Not a comfortable chair in the room in which to sit in. Just dreary. Powdered eggs in the morning were inedible. It provided your basic needs but could have stayed at a much newer and nicer place for the same price of $354 for two nights. Try Staybridge suites… nice, especially the newer ones.
Staff, room and breakfast.
A little pricey, the Google listing showed the room for over $100 like $100 in change not 160
