Nice
Room was smelly and Ac was broken
Wonderful service! They really listened to our family’s situation and helped to accommodate reservations change(s), if needed!
The cafe/bar was good for breakfast, lunch, and snack -- didn't have dinner here.
The lobby rugs need to be deep cleaned or replaced as well as the rugs in the rooms. Sink pressure in the bathroom was none existent but it did get hot. Water pressure in the tub was decent.
Beds were comfortable although sheets were worn.
AC was not working, called the front desk for repair, their response was to leave a box fan in our room the next day. Unbelievable!
After hearing so much about the prestige of the Westin, very disappointed - especially in a city like Long Beach, CA and across from a wonderful convention center.
Housekeeping staff was good. Desk staff could bump up the customer service especially with the condition of the rooms.
Very disappointed.
Horrible experience here. For the price, I was expecting to have a lovely weekend and it was anything but enjoyable.
At check in, the font desk receptionist (Lindsay) was dismissive and not helpful regarding any inquiries. Despite reservations made months in advance, only double beds were available. For over $1k, queens should be available. Hotel was very oversold for a festival.
The air conditioning in the room was broken. We called to request maintenance or accommodations and were told someone would be up in 20 minutes. No one ever came - I ended up back at the front desk in the middle of the night to request a fan (which they had multiple!). The room didn’t drop below 75* the entirety of our stay.
We also requested additional towels (only two were provided despite three people on reservation). Towels did not arrive. We had to ask three times.
The escalators were also broken and halfway through our stay the garage elevator button to the lobby broke as well.
Finally, the parking garage has different rates posted and will charge the highest one. After speaking with the parking attendant, I learned that she was argumentative and unaware of her employers.
As a Marriott property I had high expectations for this stay. I was let down at every turn. I would not recommend this hotel. This hotel and accommodations are not worth the price nor inconveniences.
It was comfortable
It was very cozy
The restaurant staff provided great service during breakfast.
It was extremely dirty. There were stains on some of the bedding and also on the towels. We were unable to use the shower because it flooded and wouldn’t drain. I’m not sure if that was the reason why the tub had a dirty ring around the drain to begin with. I called the front desk to notify them about the tub and they said they would send a technician to take care of it and all the guy did was get a wire coat hanger and open the drain. It still took too long for the water to go down and still flooded. We could also hear everything going on in the hallway. At one point I overheard what I’m assuming was cleaning staff talk about how they didn’t change the bedding for a bed because it looked like the guest barely slept on it. They should change the sheets regardless if it looks like the used it or not. Overall the room grossed me out and I still can’t believe I was charged the amount I was charged to stay in a dirty room like that. Overall I felt like it was a facade with the nice looking lobby and great concierge, but dirty rooms. Please speak to housekeeping about how to properly do their job and the importance of cleanliness.
We were there couple weeks ago and they still making changes on my card no reason for that. We payed 700 dollars for 2 nights plus parking and they made couple more changes on my card. Very disappointed.
I waited before writing this review to give the hotel an opportunity to respond to my complaint. Unfortunately, my concerns were ignored during my stay, and my follow-up correspondence has also gone unanswered.
I booked and paid through a reputable third-party travel company for a room with a king bed and a sofa bed for our 17-year-old son. On arrival, the reception staff were neither welcoming nor helpful. Check-in consisted only of being given our room and floor number, with no greeting or explanation.
When we entered the room, there was only a king bed—no sofa bed. Assuming it was a simple mistake, we returned to reception with all our luggage. We were told there had been no mistake and that the third-party description was incorrect. We were even advised that, in future, we should book directly with the hotel if we wanted a sofa bed.
I showed the receptionist our accommodation voucher, which clearly confirmed we had booked and paid for a room with a sofa bed. The hotel’s initial solution was to provide a rollaway bed—but only if we paid an additional charge. After I objected and asked a manager to review the booking confirmation, the charge was eventually waived. However, we were left with a temporary bed that was far too short for my tall 17-year-old son, forcing him to sleep curled up each night and making our stay unnecessarily uncomfortable.
What disappointed me most was not the booking error itself, but the way it was handled. The problem was not of our making, yet we were initially expected to pay extra to resolve it. Combined with the indifferent customer service and the complete lack of response to my complaint, this experience fell well below the standards I expect from a Marriott-branded hotel.
Regrettably, I would not stay here again
Short but very enjoyable stay, dad and daughter from UK. Great location. No issues whatsoever. 2 rooms allocated next to each other.
Check in and initial care absolutely delivered by Tiffani, along with next day sorting out phone issues amongst other things, anything needed was not a problem.. I initially booked in for a 1 night stay to see what the hotel was like but after settling in well at the Westin and receiving her first class service , decided to book in for another 2....
