I’m going to start with cons because during the heaviest snow storm we ever had, I had to leave and drive home through dangerous weather. Other rooms were full.
Cons: beds were disgusting. Looking at the mattresses after becoming extremely itchy and a bad skin reaction on my face…. I noticed a bite or two on my arms and back. Started digging through beds… blood on the sheets, yellow red stains all over the mattresses that they tried to cover with multiple bed covers. Pillows were just as bad. Looked on google reviews: they had a history with bed bugs. I immediately changed, walked out of there in a blizzard, and went home. The drive home was very uneasy.
Pros: close to city hospitals, powerful hot shower, fridge, microwave, tv.
They need to change their beds and clean better.
I had pancakes for breakfast one morning and the staff was helpful and very nice. They provided an extra cup of coffee to go and a container for the rest of my breakfast.
We could hear clicking and doors opening from the rooms near us, so that the first night I kept waiting for our room door to open. One of the bed sheets was stained and the coffee machine wasn't working.
We should have been offered the senior rate ($653) instead of the rate we were charged ($698)
Staff at front desk. One of the young men didn't seem to know his job.
The front desk staff were amazing. They even went as far as to get us a room that had a view. We came in late after a concert and the front desk staff helped us get our snacks and was very polite.
Please go onto booking.com and update your check out times. On booking.com it says check out is at 10am but the hotel says check out is 12 so I was a little confused there. Then at 10 am on the day of check out housekeeping crew came to our door and told us check out was 11 so I ran down to the front desk to double check that check out was indeed at 12. The housekeeping crew need to be updated on the checkout time. The front desk stated that she was probably new and didn't know the checkout time for your hotel.
Location
A bit worn. Could use upgrade.
The location was great. Close to amazing food options.
Had to pay $35 a day to park.
Hilton App indicates that this hotel has an airport shuttle.
They do not. They tell guests the shuttle is "broken" and then instruct guests to use some voucher for a car service.
The car service people are grumpy because they can't say no, but apparently the voucher doesn't properly reimburse them.
And apparently this isn't a new or temporary situation.
Hilton should remove the part about the shuttle, and consider revoking their branding from this dishonest property.
nothing
the worst
everything is just horrible
the worst hotel ever!
Close to the hospital.
Being charged more for the room while being there for medical reasons (our child's kidney transplant) due to it being parents week at Pitt.
We were a bit concerned when we booked this hotel it may be a bit out of the way, but being close to Pitt Uni it was good for cafes and bars for breakfast and evening meal. When we worked out the buses it was a short hop to Downtown as well. We found the staff to be super friendly (a Pittsburgh trait), and helpful. There were a few issues in the room where a tiny bit of maintenance was required. The amenities in the room were excelllent,
The property is well maintained clean, and the staff is friendly, even though the carpet looks like it came from the shining
