Hotel was very clean and nice. Staff was great.
Pros:

Breakfast was very good, and the area was clean. Hospitality staff was very friendly.

Cons:

Renovation was going on, so there was no air conditioner (very hot and uncomfortable) in the rooms. We were not told upon check in.

The hotel is very old and not clean. The photos on Booking do not reflect the hotel’s poor and deteriorated condition in reality.

Ideal location to visit highlights in Birmingham. Looking forward visiting again.
Pros:

The Tutweiler was located in an outstanding location within the city. Lots of sites and facilities and close to the BJCC where we attended a concert. The facility was unique and very old.

Cons:

The breakfast; for such a unique and refined hotel like the Tutweiler, the typical Hampton Inn breakfast did not reflect the grandeur of the hotel. Parking was terrible, had to gamble of space if not using Valet parking, which in itself was crowded. Ongoing construction was an inconvenience, but understandable. Noisy hallways at night from rude guests unable to keep their voices down. Room was small, but well equipped.

Nice and comfortable
Pros:

It was convenient to many restaurants and the BJCC. I felt safe walking around as well. I also enjoyed the limitless supply of coffee. The bed slept very well!

Cons:

The key card was aggravating to use on the elevator. Sometimes it would work and sometimes not so much. And it would be nice to add a hook or something in the bathroom to put your towel on

The staff at check in and check out was AWESOME!!!! During our stay the Valet was AWESOME!!!!!
i will be staying at The Tutwiler AGAIN!!!!
Breakfast was delicious and hot.
Room was perfect and the location was AMAZING!!!!!
