Pros:

The location is excellent. Next to Hemisphere Park and La Villita, walking distance to the Alamo and Riverwalk, but also close to more eclectic venues on S. Alamo Street. Our room was very comfortable and quite. There are two excellent restaurants onsite, and a great lobby bar and rooftop bar. This hotel was built in 1906 and still has that charm - but with modern furnishings. Hotel staff were exceptional.

Visit, just don't stay.
Pros:

You can not control the air in the room so when it gets hot, you can not turn the air down. Also vents in the restroom don't work so it amplifies the heat.

Superb
Pros:

Staff, location, property were fantastic.

Cons:

I did not like how the information was presented on Booking.com. The booking mentioned "breakfast included" but the final invoice shows $50 vouchers applied for breakfast charges.
If it was made clear at the time of booking that it's actually not a free breakfast but a 50 dollar breakfast voucher, it would not be misleading.

Nice staff but overall about a Rating of 6 out of 10.
Pros:

Staff tried to help but- no coffee or tea two mornings for breakfast( ran out). For what I paid($1000 per night) did not feel the room was all it should be- just average. Restaurant on property was very good food for dinner.

Pros:

Well my husband and I stayed here for Valentines Day. It was over $500 for a single bed room. When we walked in, it immediately felt like a college dorm room. Over priced for what was included, which wasn't much. A shared balcony with door access from our room, a high priced coffee maker, which we didn't use, a mini glass fridge with some drinks, we also didn't use as we brought our own wine. And a card explaining we need to contact front desk for ice, this after my husband went out our room in Search of an ice maker.

The bathroom included A gold plated shower which had erratic water temperature and difficult to adjust, when we found warm or cool it immediately went right back to scolding hot.

We spent a few hours at the bar, i ordered a cosmo at the bar downstairs which was HORRIBLE, it was watered down and tasted horrible and weak. We did appreciate the fact the young bartender took it off our bill and I replaced it with a decent glass of reasling wine, my husband enjoyed a bourbon and sprite

Upside was the hotel and room was quiet although in the middle of down town construction zone.

When it came to ordering dinner in our room, it was quick and staff was accommodating to offering extra chairs for our room so my husband and I could both sit at the desk in our room to enjoy our Valentines dinner. Now. The dinner wasn't as good as would be expected from such a high priced hotel.

We will not be returning. (Review too long to finish)

Pros:

Too much construction noise. Things were still being remodeled in the bar area and workers were pretty scary!
