Our stay at Baglioni Hotel Regina was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the level of service truly went above and beyond anything we expected.
Every member of the staff—from check-in, doormen/porters, restaurant team, room service, and housekeeping—was outstanding. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always had a genuine smile, which made our stay that much more enjoyable.
One small adjustment for us was learning that Italian hotels typically don’t provide irons or ironing boards in the room, but that’s more of a cultural difference than a drawback.
The interior layout and design of the hotel reflects a classic, traditional Roman architectural style. This is a boutique luxury hotel, so don’t expect a massive mega-resort atmosphere. Instead, it offers a more intimate and elegant experience.
During our two-week stay, we experienced two different rooms. We initially stayed in Suite 212, which was spacious and very quiet at night, but it felt somewhat outdated. The floors were consistently dusty, and the bathroom was in need of some repairs, especially the clogged shower heads. Later, we stayed in Room 126, which was noticeably more modern, cleaner, and had a much better functioning shower.
The hotel is perfectly situated on the prestigious Via Vittorio Veneto, directly across from the U.S. Embassy. While there isn’t a tremendous amount within immediate walking distance, major attractions such as the Vatican, the Colosseum, and the train station are all within about a 15-minute taxi ride. One piece of advice: be cautious with taxis and confirm the fare beforehand, as some drivers may try to overcharge tourists.
Overall, Baglioni did not disappoint. While the rooms were a bit hit-or-miss, the exceptional service more than made up for it. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.
This is a superb hotel in every respect. It is a true expression of Roman hospitality. We were greeted by a most friendly and efficient reception team who saw us well settled into our room. We went to the bar for a drink and snack where the service was friendly and efficient. The rooms are opulent and comfortable, though the bathroom was a little small. I found this unsurprising in an old building. The public rooms somehow manage to be grand and cosy.
Over our week’s stay I became used to the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to answer any questions, make recommendations, ask how our activities had gone and generally their willingness to give us a good time. Two incidents summed this up. We commented that there was little choice for a vegetarian on their restaurant menu. Within an hour we had a call from the restaurant manager with a list of proposed dishes which they were willing to produce. That was most impressive. The second incidence came on my birthday. I had not told them it was my birthday as I genuinely didn’t want a fuss made (I’m too old!). Of course, once they registered our passports they would have noticed the date. At breakfast, they waited until I’d eaten then brought me a beautiful little cake. I was very touched, thanked the staff and moved on. During the afternoon, unannounced, room service arrived… a very good bottle of Prosecco and some extremely good chocolates from the management. I was bowled over. Finally, as we were leaving for the airport, we were given two little boxes of chocolates for the journey.
You don’t have to travel a huge amount to get cynical about levels of comfort and customer service. Very many hotels I’ve been to would do well to copy the Regina’s practice. Thank you, all of you, for making a good holiday great.
I recommend this hotel to everyone planning a trip to Rome. First off, it's beautiful, quiet, and clean. The guest rooms are wonderfully appointment and comfortable. Second, the food and beverage service is great. We ate breakfast every day and enjoyed cocktails every afternoon. The food was delicious and, when possible, locally sourced. Finally, the staff was professional and warm, making us feel at home. The concierge team arranged tours, transfers, and made dinner reservations for us so we could enjoy every moment in the Eternal City! You would regret choosing this hotel.
The location is wonderful.
The breakfast was good but not excelent.
The furniture is a litte bit old and the bed and pillows not so comfortable.

This is a lovely property situated in a quiet area within easy walking of the Borghese Gardens (5 mins). It's also within walking distance of lots of attractions such as the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navonna (15 - 30 mins).
L’architettura del Baglioni rende questo hotel un luogo speciale. Il personale è cordiale e gentile e la colazione internazionale impeccabile. Cibo fresco elegante ma che sa di casa.
D’altra parte l’hotel è un po’ invecchiato. Non dico che sia lasciato andare, però visto che non posso definirlo economico direi che una maggiore attenzione sarebbe gradita.

This is hands down, the most beautiful hotel with the absolute utmost in customer satisfaction! Upon our arrival, we were greeted so kindly by OLGA! She absolutely could not have been more kind nor more professional! We were welcomed to wait in this gorgeous room with beautiful chandelier s and draperies! Then came this lovely lady who brought us delicious cappuccino coffee with beautiful foam hearts! We learned that management had upgraded us to the gorgeous Ludoviai Suite!!! As my son is American Express Platinum, this was a most wonderful and welcoming experience! We were treated to a beautiful hour in the lovely spa and Elena was so very kind! The breakfasts each morning were absolutely delicious and the kindest team was there every morning to greet us! There was even the most lovely breakfast bags prepared for us one day as we all had a very early tour! They even were so thoughtful as to have to go cappuccino coffees for each of us! The wonderful gentleman, Marco, quickly hailed us a taxi one day as our driver did not show! He was so kind, professional and efficient! The entire team, including Rocco and Stephania, all deserve wonderful accolades as the Baglioni Hotel Regina is indeed the ultimate in Hospitality and Luxury! On behalf of my son, his beautiful fiance, and myself, we thank you all for a most extraordinary time and experience at your beautiful Baglioni Hotel Regina!
