From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. The name on the credit card used for the booking must correspond to the guest staying at the property.

Location , clean
Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff and a pretty good location. Anyway, once you arrive in the Sunway world you are also pretty much confined into this area.
The Black Tap restaurant can be recommended, food is pretty good but a bit overprized. The Happy Hour offers are a nice compensation for the overprized food. But their service has a lot of room for improvements.
It's one of those hotels where they try to bridge the requirements of business travelers (exhibition and conference center in the next building) and the expectations of family vacationers (theme park, water world, etc.). Not an easy task but guests who walk into the Gordon Ramsey restaurant for breakfast in flipflops and shorts should be redirected to the breakfast buffet restaurant. Anyway, it seems Gordon Ramsey wasn't there because the service and the quality of the food left me disappointed.
I would have also expected a proper coffee machine in the room, that's in the meantime a standard in 5* hotels in Asia.

Relaxing space and full of activities
The room was nice and clean, the pool is amazing, as well as the Gym. The lobby entrance is stunning.
We had an awful experience in the Sunset Terrace Restaurant. We went for lunch on a Monday, around 2pm. We have ordered a burger and a pasta and there was literally almost no one there. Maybe another table and us. It took 1 hour to get our meal. There were maybe 20 waiters and 20 chefs, I was shocked. I have to remind them multiple times politely, but only when I got angry the food arrived. Even the drinks took 20mins. I was expecting the team to do something to recover the embarrassment, but all that Faridah, the maitre in charge, was able to do was to give us 20% off.
We had such a pleasant stay and we checked out just before going for lunch, before going home. We were talking about going back, but thanks to this restaurant and their staff, we left super angry and disappointed. Congratulations!
