I enjoy coming to buchanan arms.chill out in large lounge and plenty of options for eating in several places within 5 minute walks in drymen

Great Property

Gym was fine and pool area also .There was a problem with the hot tub and showers .Though i beleive it was being looked in to .

This hotel needs a renovation. Almost everywhere you can see major wear and tear. Room had a chair with a torn seat and the carpet was worn out. Key card stopped working daily. There is no elevator so climbing and descending stairs is required with your luggage. Hallway smelled of cigarette smoke.

We stayed for a couple of nights whilst visiting family in the area. We felt that the hotel was comfortable, but in need of significant modernising. Our room was feeling very tired , with dated and scuffed furnishings . The walls were also very thin leading to disturbed sleep thanks to some amerous neighbours! The leisure facilities are a real bonus, with a good pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. The staff both in the hotel and at the pool were profesional and friendly throughout our stay

There were no elevators which wouldn’t have been a problem, except we had to go through lots of hallways and down several flights of stairs with our luggage. One of our rooms had lots of spiders in it. Breakfast was served a little late so we weren’t able to eat anything before we needed to get back on the road; there wasn’t even any fruit or coffee/tea set out so people could grab stuff on the go.

Very nice quiet and safe hotel in picturesque area of Scotland. Very good facilities

Room was clean. Checkin was quick and easy. Onsite parking. Onsite restaurant and pub were open and very good!

The leisure facilities were great, the room was spacious and the bar was good. The rest was a bit average unfortunately
The running water was brown, the wallpaper was coming off the walls, some staff members were smoking directly below our window which, on a very warm evening, we needed to keep our windows open so the room stunk of cigarettes for a while
The staff were friendly and helpful

Good location clean tidy rooms though a bit tired. Restaurant was very good food was nice and good choice. Reception was quick at chevking us in and informing us of hotel facilities etc.

Lovely break for my birthday

Have stayed here a few times before. We came for our anniversary but unfortunately wasn’t impressed this time. Our room was nice enough and comfy bed. There was 2 coffee cups with coffee & tea but no teaspoons to stir it. There also was no hand soap, shower gel etc or anything at all to wash your hands with in the bathroom which I found pretty poor.
The spa is ok, pool is nice but it’s very tired looking and needs a good upgrade tbh. Steamroom was like sitting in a cupboard.

We had a lovely stay here, from start to finish

Had a fab time staff are all lovely. Room was clean with a comfy bed loads of tea and coffee in rooms and nice biscuits.Fire alarm went off a few times after coming out the shower but staff were at door within seconds to make sure we were ok must be very sensative alarm.
The breakfast was amazing with great choice hot and fresh plenty selection hot or continental. Dinner was amazing and liked you could get half portions of some of the main meals. The bar staff were lovely and friendly. The pool area with hot tub sauna and steam room was fab and again all staff were friendly and helpful even got to join the aqua gym class which was great and all free when staying at hotel as guest. Me and my husband will defo be back to stay in the near future.

Superb stay whilst we were working in the area. Staff were amazing. Highly recommended

Had two night stay and slept really well, so no complaints about the beds. Staff friendly. Decor generally very poor (carpets and walls in particular need attention) and no need for radiators to be on during the summer - some of the corridors were uncomfortably hot. Carpets smelly.

Very nice place to stay

This was our second stay in the Buchanan Arms Hotel and we were not dissapointed.

Lovely lounge/bar/conservatory area. We enjoyed our dinner in the hotels restaurant and staff were friendly.

We will be back :)
