Awesome central location
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful
If we return we will visit again
We would recommend you to others
We arrived at Rusacks for a 3 night stay and had an amazing room overlooking the 1st & 18th fairways of the Old Course at St Andrews Links.
The staff here could not have been more helpful from Michaela on reception, Jamie the excellent concierge and Sam at Rao’s.
Breakfast in the Bridge restaurant was excellent as was lunch on the Rooftop Terrace.
Rao’s has opened its 1st restaurant out of the US and we had the most amazing Meatballs followed by veal ragu and topped off by the most amazing baked cheesecake. What a meal and definitely recommend
Great location. Service was very good.
Rooms are very small but nice
Great location in the centre of the town and views over the golf course and the beaches.
Great accommodating staff at front desk housekeeping and restaurant. Breakfast was excellent and great location.
Darkening shades in room.
Brilliant location.
Staff went above and beyond in every capacity: friendly, helpful, etc.
We were at a great table, great views and lovely afternoon tea items were presented to us. It was quiet so did feel like we were left alone a bit (had to find the waitress to order tea to go with our cakes) but the cakes make up for it UNTIL we started hearing a really unpleasant high pitched sawing noise. I thought it would be annoying for a few seconds then stop but it was constant. I was horrified to see when I looked round that a man was hand sawing joints of meat at the opening of the kitchen just metres from us. It made my stomach turn and we couldn’t eat anymore. I asked a member of staff if they could stop and he said ‘unlikely’ and was really dismissive (not 5 star hotel service by any means). I’m not vegetarian but there something about flesh and bone being sawn beside you that really puts you off your cakes. Really disappointed at the staff response too. The food itself was lovely so it was a damn shame our really special occasion was ruined by that.
We loved the location, views, staff especially George in housekeeping and Laura front desk!
The bar at top of the bldg was snooty and made us feel like peons using the free drink coupons hotel provided because the one under bar was closed.
Excellent location. You can't get better in St Andrews with a view of the 18th fairway and green right outside the window of our nice and spacious room. The bathroom, though luxurious, was not to my taste being a bit Victorian in style (dark green wall tiles) but it probably appeals to the American market which I guess wants something very traditional. The staff were very friendly and attentive. One of the few hotels in the area that welcomes dogs. Overall a very pleasant and hassle free stay, albeit on the pricier side.
No milk was supplied with the English breakfast tea, which itself was a bit weak and bordering on colourless. Milk was quickly provided on request but should be automatic in a 5 star hotel of this price and quality. Otherwise, an excellent served breakfast and no buffet - which is as it should be in such an establishment.
