Garden City Hotel, BW Signature Collection

Rooms are old and tired, needs refurbishing. Had to change rooms as some of them smells and the sheets as well although the sheets were clean but just smells!!!

And Best Western has been hacked as I received what seems to be a communication from Best Western to give my credit card details; again, to confirm my booking a day before arrival. It was only when I thought it was odd and when I call Best Western Garden City, they told me not to click on the link as they have been hacked. Since they are aware of this, why did they not inform their pending guests?!!!!
Irresponsible and could have jeopardised by personal credit card details to scammers. Best Western Corporate/Executives need to be accountable for this failure to communicate to their guests when they already knew of the I.T. breach.

This hotel was very well located, easy drive to all places we wanted to visit. It was very clean and the room was spacious with great bench space for two women. The staff were very helpful and polite. The lift was an asset and the room was airy and bright. It was very quiet and access was very easy. Even though we did not swim in The pool it was very enjoyable to unwind sitting in the delightful oasis style garden The cost was very affordable compared to other hotels we looked at. I would definitely stay there again.

This is my go-to hotel in Canberra. This is my third or forth stay at this hotel. Easy to get to if you're travelling south from Sydney. Good size rooms. It's clean and has comfortable beds. Plenty of hot wather in the bathroom and good pillows. On demand movies. Quiet location. Very good value.
Free parking in the grounds or under-cover. Friendly staff.
The German Club is within easy walking distance for a night out.

The hotel is out of the main Canberra CBD which makes parking easy and cost free. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. I booked a standard Queen Room which was very comfortable. Good pillows. Plenty of tea/coffee with (long life) milk in the refrigerator. This makes a pleasant change from (awful) coffee creamer served in most hotels. The room was clean and comfortable with large sofa so you could relax with a coffee or wine after a long drive. The small bottle of wine was good value at $8.00 as the Club next door charged $8.80 per class. There was an iron and ironing board to press your clothes. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel. The hotel didn't cater to evening meals but the Harmnie Germon Club was only 5 minutes’ walk away. Great atmosphere and good food.

The hotel room was a good size, but the design of the bathroom was terrible. The toilet stuck in a corner with the sharp edge of the corner vanity impeding in the toilet. This design is not suitable for a larger person or someone with mobility issues.

Cleanest hotel room l have ever encountered, with fresh spacious amenities. Friendly helpful staff in all areas. I felt welcomed as a solo traveller, with their Happy Hour, cheerful restaurant-lounge area and responsive staff. Well-located near Fyschwick market with easy city and surrounds access and safe well-lit onsite parking.

Just want to give a big shout out to the lady on the front desk. Jodie, I believe. Super friendly and great at her job. She allowed us to book out slightly later than usual which really helped our itinerary. Would recommend if you aren't planning to spend a lot of time in a room and exploring Canberra and need a clean and conveniently located motel. Also parking wasn't an issue at all which can be a problem around Civic and suburbs around Civic.

Great stay and comfortable. Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. Good value for money. We had a car so don’t know about public transport. Did not have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that.

Hidden gem tucked away in Narrabundah..very comfortable rooms bloody awesome shower..great staff...But the surprise here is the hotels restaurant "the nest",the food would make a top rated pub feed blush..fresh great portions and cooked to perfection..😊

For the price, this is the place to stay, excellent

Bathroom is tiny. Your knees hit the vanity when you sit on the loo. The shower head sprayed water in every direction flooding the bathroom floor. Everything needs a proper clean. Don’t bother with the breakfast. How they claim this is 4.5 stars is beyond me. We were in a room at the start of the hallway and could hear every single guest coming and going.
