Great location, amazing view, plenty of good eateries close by - very relaxing!
Pros:

Location & view was perfect. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary, so the staff upgraded our room to a higher floor (better view) & a surprise gift in our room of a complimentary bottle of wine & chocolates to celebrate! very much appreciated.

Cons:

We have nothing to complain about!

Position was fantastic but the hotel is showing signs of the proximity to the ocean. But an enjoyable stay none the less
Pros:

Proximity to the ocean, a great spot.We stayed there 51 years ago on our wedding night and the location can not be bettered in my opinion.

Cons:

The hotel is certainly starting to show its age especially considering it is next to the ocean. Plenty of rust which is understandable.

Cons:

They should probably provide free newspapers for guests. The vanity and bathroom is difficult to prevent splashing during use, and we prefer individual soaps and shampoos rather than liquid soaps.

Pros:

The staff were wonderful and very accommodating, free laundry facilities and parking were a huge bonus for us. We were upgraded to an ocean view which was very appreciated and amazing.

Cons:

Our only negative were the mattresses, we didn't sleep great.

Couldn’t have asked for a better first stay in Newcastle.
Pros:

The whole experience was fantastic. Staff super friendly and helpful. The room was wonderful with an incredible view of the ocean. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Cons:

The tarmac in the carpark is a bit torn up an needs some maintenance. Also the the parking under the building is very very tight (hardly the fault or controllable as the building is older and not designed for larger vehicles where SUVs and utes extend out of the parking spot as well as taking up two spots simply cause they are too big parking area) they have signs mentioning upgrades. So hopefully the parking is one of those upgrades. Other than that the stay was amazing.
