Disappointed
Pros:

The old world charm of the lobby and the generous room size

Cons:

At 11:15am I dropped our suitcase off as we were heading out to lunch.

When we arrived back at 2:45pm we said we were hear to check in we were given a glass of cold water and asked to sit and cool down they gave us our suitcase

After 10min we were still waiting to be checked in so we went to the reception desk and asked if we could please be taken to our room as I had already done an online check in the night before

When we got to our room we discovered that there streaming services were not working so we called reception to come and investigate we told them that we had booked this room so we could have our girls night of watching Bridgeton and drinking champagne

We told them that there were no slippers in the room and the light bulb in the chandelier was broken

They said sorry and this then turned into 4 more visits from staff attempting to fix the tv we did eventually get our slippers the streaming services were not available the lights were not functioning properly

It was very frustrating because we couldn’t watch our shows and it was just disappointing

The staff were not rude just didn’t understand or know how to respond communicate the truth

They offered us a complementary cocktail and kept coming to our room to try and help us

Pros:

The staff welcome and the homely art deco vibe was beautiful. I would like the room number added on my record as it was a fabulous room. Record player and 4 poster bed. Absolutely stunning bathroom. I had a fabulous sleep in that room.

Cons:

As its small, didn't offer breakfast options or different facilities on site. But that was ok.

Pros:

We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist, de hotel looked really nice and it has a bit of a vintage lift. The room was very big and the rain shower was great.

Cons:

We moved rooms because the tap in the bathroom wasn't working. I'm glad we moved rooms because there was a cockroach in the cupboard where the little kitchen was.

Pros:

This is a beautiful hotel. It's got a lot of old architecture that has been nicely restored and maintained. The hotel has a lot of great character and atmosphere. Staff were very helpful. Location is also excellent including being a stones throw from Central Station if you catch the 'Air Train' from the airport. The room is well maintained with lots of classic small touches eg. sanitary kits and shower caps, minibar.

Cons:

It's a very small note but the room can feel a little bit small and dark simply due to the layout having to work around the character of the old building; and the windows facing into the central stairwell. However, the room has a lot of lovely lighting provided for all variety of ambience and my room had a spacious sofa area attached to the room.

If you prefer bright, naturally lit rooms this wouldn't be for you. If you don't mind, then this hotel is absolutely excellent.

I will be staying here again.

Great value, good staff and easy access to wharf, resturants and parking.

Cons:

It was great a bit worn but good value for money. The proximity to a square with drugs and homelessness was a bit of putting. (Nothing to do with the facilites)

Pros:

Great area, the rooms are pretty and very comfortable and clean. The fact that we could bring our puppy was so good!

Cons:

The air condition wasn’t working in our room. But after mentioning the problem to the reception, they were very nice and moved us to another room.
