IMPORTANT NOTICE – POTENTIAL CONSTRUCTION NOISE
Burleigh and Miami are currently undergoing exciting regeneration projects, including the nearby Light Rail extension. As a result, guests may experience intermittent construction noise from sites behind and in front of the property during the day (typically until 5pm) and occasionally at night.
While some days are quiet, others may include high-impact works such as jackhammering. Light Rail construction teams have advised that some weekend work may occur, with two nights’ respite provided each week (though these may vary).
We appreciate your understanding as these works contribute to the future vibrancy of our area.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Overall, the stay was pleasant and I was very happy with the staff communication/ assistance.
Pros:

I would like to first commend the staff for acknowledging that I made a mistake with my booking (accidently booked for 1 night instead of 2) and how quickly they helped me to rectify my error and further met me with understanding rather than annoyance.
The room itself was clean, spacious and had all of the necessities I needed for my stay. The free Wifi was very helpful considering the reception (phone data) was very poor. I appreciated that option.
Loved the little restaurant attached to the motel - great food, and very convenient.
The parking options were very helpful and I loved that I didn't have to drive around to find a specific allocated car park.
Great communication prior my stay, during the stay and easy to follow directions (key/ after hours check in etc.)

Cons:

The shower was a strange fit - I am not a tall person, however the shower head only reached up to my neck. I personally have a neck injury so it was very difficult to put my head under the water without aggravating the pain.
On the Saturday evening, there was a group of young adults partying in the room next to me who kept me awake for most of the evening - this was difficult considering I was working on the Sunday all day and then had to drive an hour and a half home in the afternoon. I will take some responsibility for this considering I accidently did not book for the Saturday evening and I imagine that I may have been placed in a different room for my duration (as I was staying for work) if I had been more thorough with my initial booking. It was also the Gold Coast on a Saturday evening, so young adult parties are to be expected.
Lastly, the roadworks were a bit of a nuisance, albeit it, noise wise, they were reasonable - however, my GPS kept directing me to blocked roads, so trying to navigate my way to the motel was very difficult. I understand that this is of no fault of the motel, but perhaps providing some directions upon booking with the roadworks might help those of us who are a little geographically challenged.

Cons:

The bed was so uncomfortable - in so much pain now from sleeping on that bed for two nights - blinds were not block-out, Sun streamed in the room from very early.
