Great hotel location and breakfast.
Pros:

Great price , location, staff, bar facilities and rooms

Cons:

Currently having renovations, however noise from that was very controlled( no noise before 10pm and nothing after 4pm).

Noise from the building site across the road can be an issue if pouring slab at night.

Amazing staff, comfortable and clean rooms, great location
Pros:

Staff were amazing - tried hard to get me an early checkin, as I arrived before the sun was up, unable to do till 11am though - however was able to lounge in front of the fire before leaving bags and going out on adventures!
Rooms were comfortable and clean, location fabulous with free city bus right out front.

Simply disastrous
Pros:

Central location
Big bed - probably quite comfortable, if we had stayed and slept on it

Cons:

The building work was diabolically loud - so much that it drowned out the TV.
We checked in at 1pm - wanted to have a rest / sleep, before a night out. Not possible thanks to the noise.
Staff told us it should stop around 4pm, but that couldn’t be guaranteed, it might continue. There were apparently no quieter rooms.
This was to be a special night, part of my wife’s birthday celebrations.
She wound up with a migraine headache - we left an hour later.
We were not made aware of this situation, simply that the pool area would not be available due to the works.
I’ve experienced renovations at properties before, but nothing like this.

Pros:

Front desk staff were really helpful on check in. There were lots of choices for breakfast and they were well cooked. Location was excellent for us. Having parking nearby was great.

Cons:

There was a real problem with the floor. The carpet was uneven and had ridges in it. This made it most disconcerting to walk on.
