We had diner on the terrace. Food was great. Views were great. Watched the sun go down over Asia. Staff was great. The DJ and violinist were a perfect touch. Wish we'd found this place earlier. We would definitely go back again.
This isn't the first time to me to stay in this hotel. I like it but thus time my room not good the room hot and really small
My Family International Trip from USA to Middle East Got Disrupted Because of the Sudden War and No Fly Zone in June 2025. Had to Urgently Plan to Stay X 9 Nights at this Hotel. Hotel Charged Me Full Expensive Reservation Without Us Staying There for a Single Night. Politely Asked Hotel Days Before the Reservation Starting Date to Consider Alternative Solution Such as Giving Us Credit X 12 or 24 Months to be Used at The Same Hotel as Flights Resumed to Destination Per Our Initial Plan. I Even Asked Hotel to Use the Reservation Credit in Sep 2025 as We Were No Longer Able to Do July Reservation. Unempathetic, and Uncommunicative Hotel Staff. Hotel Refused Reasonable Alternatives and Kept ALL Reservation Money Unfairly Without Us Being Able to Stay in the Hotel for Even a Single Night. Extremely Disappointed as USA Citizen Docs Family
The Rooftop restaurant is a great place to eat. Wonderful views, good food with exceptional service provided by Ozgun and Ilyas. We could not have had a better final night in Istanbul. Thanks to all at the Serez for a memorable dining experience.
Beautiful experience in this hotel
But the most memorable was the breakfast in the rooftop , lots of variety, a stunning view and very kind and helpful staff a special thanks to Ali, Turqam and Didem for their kindness and assistance they really add to the hotel
The location is perfect 5min walking from blue mosque and aya Sophia, also 10 min from Egyptian bazaar and eminönu
Wonderful restaurant. Very well maintained property. Hard beds, but I'm spoiled by memory foam mattresses.
I always choose this hotel when I travel to Estambul. Also the breakfast is amazing.
This hotel is one of the hundreds of similar hotels in teh old city of Istanbul. I am not even sure if this hotel has been initially built to serve a hotel. Like other hundreds of similar hotels in the area, they were converted into hotel using old apartment buidlings. It is very easy to make out this fact if you only look at the floor layout. The rooms are conformtable although they are not large. I would say that the size is medium, but they fitted decently for a stay of few days. The people at the reception are friendly and eager to help you with any indication or assistance. The hotel itself does not stand out with anything in particular. Its majot advantage is that is has a fantastic rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the breakfast and the dinner. It has two sections, a roofed terrace and an open space one, where also the bar is located. To have breakfast here is quite an experience and is close to a bucket list one. The evenings are even better and the restaurant is quite crowded. I strongly advice to call in advance and make a booking if you want to be on the safe side. The entie atmosphere in the evenings, overlooking the Bosphorus, is magic and you should try it at least once, even if you are not a hotel guest. The rooms are quite properly sound proofed and the tram running in the front of the hotel will not be such a nuisance for the residents. Nevertheless, people with sleep problems should not rick staying here. Another major advantage of this hotel is the location, as it is situated between two tram stations and from them you can easily access the entie city. The breakfast is extremely rich in fruits of any kind, but the cold cuts section is quite poor. One can find a single kind of salami type cold cuts and nothing else. The scambled eggs are probably made out of egg powder and if you desire a proper omlette, then you will have to pay extra. This is not normal for a hotel of this kind and for the room rates that you pay. They stay in this hotel is not perfect but you need to give a little in order to gain a little. There are quite good restaurants all around the hotel and you will enjoy the Istanbul atmosphere at its best.
Staff was extremely nice Nd helpful at all times! Most of the rooms were small but very clean and accommodating. I would recommend my family & friends.
The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Ali and the breakfast crew
Staff, food and room great !! Very well located.
Very Good Location , Very Good Hotel & Rooftop Resturent is awsome & very good food options and good breakfasr menu .
Sevice is good ,Rooms are good but small with all amenaties proper 3 three star hotel value for money for all types of tourists.
Rooms are very small and the noise coming from outside was disturbing. They were doing some infrastructure working in the back yard and we asked for another room with less noise. They said they will change it the next morning but it never happened. Breakfast was nice but the main problem is the size of the rooms. Incredibly small. The smallest i have ever see.
We had a perfect week’s stay in the Seres Hotel in Istanbul old town, we would recommend everyone. The hotel offers you all the comfort you wish, is very clean, with friendly and helpfull staff. Good beds, airco and a delicious, great breakfast buffet at the rooftop with an amazing 360° view over the city. The buffet is offering a really amazing choice of foods. Especially, you can ask Ali, Turgay and Didem for special requests; they are very willing to fulfill them. From the hotel it’s easy walking to almost all important sites, with tram, metro and ferry close by to go to other parts of the city or experience the Bosporus.
The hotel offers smaller and bigger rooms, but all are well equipped with tv, coffee, thee, water and rainshower; only the water temperature can fluctuate a bit. We had a small room but enough space for the suitcase and other personal belongings.
The street has a nice atmosphere with little shops and restaurants, is busy but not too loud. When you have a room at the backside of the hotel as we had, you will not hear the tram coming by, only some light noise of the airco’units when you have your window open.
The excellent service of the hotel offers also a foodbox when you’re checking out before breakfast starts. We will come back for sure!
Amazing customer service. Amazing roof resturant bar. Best view in Istanbul.
Clean. It’s my fourth time. Always good standard. I would like to thanks to from top management to all staff. Do not forget book a table at the roof restaurant bar.
The staff were very helpful especially for breakfast and evening meal, service and food were excellent, We will go back again
It's my fourth time in Istanbul and as always, I search for a hotel in the old city area where I spend the time between old monuments and narrow old streets. Although hotels are a bit more expensive than the others in Taksim area and sometimes the rooms are smaller and older but if you intend to enjoy the city as a tourist then this is where you should stay. For the hotel it is located in one of the busiest streets in the area with many restaurants and shops as well as the tramway, we even missed the entrance of the hotel. The hotel has 5 or 6 floors with a wonderful restaurant on top overlooking the historic area as well as the Bosphorus with a very pleasant garden in the roof. We needed a family room for 4 and they offered 2 double rooms connected together like a suite. Unfortunately the room was on the back of the hotel but this was more quiet. Probably the front rooms on higher floors may overlook the Bosphorus but may suffer a bit from the noise. Breakfast was very nice with reasonable number of alternatives and varieties. Rooms were ok with old but functional bathrooms, tea and coffee facilities, TV, and fairly good wifi. The staff were very helpful. In conclusion this hotel is highly recommended.
The people there are so nice. They serve with a big smile. Location is awesome next to train and marmaray where you can reach everywhere.
The area is very nice and close to most of the historical places like sultanahmet, and at sophia.
Central to many shops and restaurant/bars and walking distance to all the tourist attractions. The independent rooftop bar/restaurant is split over the neighbouring hotel and has spectacular views of the bosphorus.
Stayed 3 nights at Seres, no AC for 3 nights, informed stuff about it, but every time you asked they said it is getting fixed, but nothing happened,it was very hot , we were unable to sleep. At night I informed staff members about it but they told me that it’s working
Shower was dirty, toilet seat was not properly fixed(kept moving), towels were old and dirty which definitely needs replacing. Breakfast is not great.
Everything was really old and needs updating. Only thing is good is their staff, nice and friendly
