It was clean
No one available 24/7 they say you need to call someone in order to get assistance. Early checkout no one picked up on the phone i had to slide my room key under the reception office door in order to leave since there were no people, i understand that this is probably they rent it as a studio but its confusing having it both. Also for that price no breakfast and no washing condiments one lousy soap, dissapointing. Overall wont be booking again with this place.
Centrally located right off a service road beside the interstate - easy on and off, yet far away to avoid highway noise. Facilities were clean and staff was super friendly. Guest room was great and spacious with model amenities.
I checked in on a Saturday evening and a checkout plan of being out by 8am Sunday morning. Unfortunately, the front desk is locked up and there was no key box to leave the room key in. Saw the notice that the front desk does not open until 10am on Sunday. So, ended up leaving the room key in the guest room - something I do not like to do. If your front desk is not available for checkout, please install a key box so guests checking out can drop their keys off safely.
Carpet smell, sticky carpets and they are very old. Rooms are not very fresh
The price.
There is sliver fish bugs in the corner of the room. There fridge didn’t work. There bed is like a cot. There is a sheet on the bed, no extra blankets are available unless paying for them. The bathroom doesn’t come with tissue or soap . There are people walking past our room all night looking for drugs. This was horrible.
Great location and attentive staff
My room key never worked. I had to be let in by the desk and no one was available on a Saturday to resolve. At checkout time no one mess at the desk even after 930. And there is no night drop. Kinda inconvenient. But I get it Weekends are hard to staff

The cleaning lady was friendly and gave us an extra bar of soap. Whooo who
No coffee on property. There was no shampoo or conditioner. There were no amenities at all. The room had a kitchen with nothing. For a $$ charge they would give you 1 place setting. The front staff was cranky.
The staff was OUTSTANDING. From the front desk to the housekeeping, they were all extremely helpful and accommodating. ESA has a great bunch of people working there.
This facility is in DESPERATE need of refurbishing and deep cleaning. I believe that this facility is heavily used by Argonne National Lab to house their summer interns and the like, and frankly the place looks like a frat house. Peeling paint, gouges in the hallway walls, and stains on the carpets and countertops. The room's windows were FILTHY on the outside...nothing the housekeeping staff would be able to clean from inside the room. If I had to use one word to describe the facility, it would be 'shabby.' (Also, I find it RIDICULOUS that ESA charges $40 to 'rent' basic kitchen items...had I known this was the case I would've just reserved a 'regular' hotel room someplace!)
The staff and location was Excellent.
No ice, no breakfast.
