I had the most amazing time. The location is perfect! The employees are amazing. They are incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and friendly. They make you feel like they are there for you. Everything was very clean and accommodating. The hotel is historic and feels nostalgic but is also modern and comfortable. My room was beautiful with a lovely view and the available amenities were a nice touch. I have returned and will continue to return.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. So unique! The room was very clean. The price was great, especially for how nice this hotel was. I loved the little evening time lounge they offer as well.
There were 3 out of 6 dryers broke in the laundry room, which meant after washing my clothes, I had to wait nearly an hour to dry them.
The location was wonderful
The air conditioner kicked on /off every 2 minutes and didn't allow for rest sleep
We have stayed at the Hotel at Old Town a few times now. It is by far our favorite Wichita hotel. The hotel is consistently very clean, the rooms are well equipped with an almost full-sized refrigerator, a microwave, paper towels, a small coffee maker, and a small cook top. The bathroom is large and the walk-in shower offers plenty of room even for those with some mobility issues. The lobby is clean and beautiful, and we appreciated the coffee and tea available all day. We had to extend our stay by a few days due to unforeseen circumstances, and the hotel was able to accommodate us. We appreciate the covered parking garage as well.
Hotel at Old Town was one of the highlights of my visit to Wichita and one of my favorite hotels from a nine-day Midwest road trip.
Located in Wichita's Historic Old Town district, the hotel combines the character of a beautifully restored historic warehouse with the comfort and amenities of a modern hotel. From the moment I walked into the multi-story atrium, I knew this wasn't going to be an ordinary stay. The natural light, exposed brick, and historic displays throughout the building give the property a unique personality that's hard to find in larger chain hotels.
Our atrium-facing double queen room was spacious, quiet, and exceptionally comfortable. The beds were among the best I've slept in while traveling, and despite being within walking distance of restaurants and nightlife, the hotel was remarkably peaceful at night. I also appreciated the complimentary covered parking garage, which made it easy to leave the car behind and explore Old Town on foot.
One of the things that stood out most was the staff. Every interaction was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. From coordinating our stay before arrival to making us feel at home throughout our visit, the customer service was outstanding.
Breakfast each morning included both hot and continental options, fresh fruit, and a great selection to start the day before exploring Wichita.
If you're visiting Wichita—whether for business, a weekend getaway, or attractions like Tanganyika Wildlife Park—I highly recommend Hotel at Old Town. Its combination of historic character, comfortable accommodations, walkable location, and exceptional hospitality made it feel like much more than a hotel. It truly became part of our Wichita experience.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on my next visit.
Great hotel, great location, great staff, good breakfast, nice bar. No complaints. Will go back as much as I can.
Location is great. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I'd definitely recommend.
The eggs were terrible, way over cooked. All the soaps in the bathroom smell very masculine, like men's cologne.
I was skeptical when it had a kitchenette but we were so pleased with the hotel. It's beautiful, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and it was super clean and new looking. I like that they only come clean your room when you ask- I don't need new sheets and the bathroom cleaned every day. I was also very happy with the neighborhood and the surrounding area. It was easy to walk to multiple locations to eat, get coffee, go to bars and even a nearby QT. We were without transportation but if I had a car it was easy to park for free in multiple locations. It was a bonus that every Saturday there was a farmer's market just steps away from the hotel. Love that's it's privately owned and not a chain!
The location is outstanding very walkable food/fun/shop/museum area. The renovation of an historic property is very appealing especially when done so well. Lovely interiors and seamless fit in an historic area. Full kitchen is fantastic to have but ours did not have a low wide frying pan, only two small tall sided pots you could not cook in unless you were making soup. Bath is good with walk in shower.
The parking was not attached to the hotel at all. The side door to garage had steep steps down and the steps back up into the garage that is only a few feet away - there is no excuse for not attaching the garage in several areas. It is a very long distance around for handicapped, wheelchair, elderly and ability divergent folks. This would be intolerable in winter. ALSO, you have to pay for breakfast if you like free breakfast, just so you know. Beds are good but the pillows were awful.
Great location right in the middle of old town. Very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable. The little kitchen even had dinnerware/ glasses. Those little extra things show how much they care about your stay.
With the exceptional location, did come the drawback of the noise from the streets. It was okay though, everything was so comfortable that once I was out, I didn’t hear a thing.
Everything was fantastic, great customer service. Great location, great wifi -
